Cheers for the feedback guy's, thanks for the positive comments, really appreciated. -
Interesting subject, I was about to ask almost the same question but mainly relating to Kenworth cabover's, I have found a video tour of the interior of a Kenworth Aerodyne which it says it is 90" I was wondering if it was a mistake as I have only heard of 86" & 110" sleeper cabs. I know they made a shorter version Aerodyne cab for the Australian market as a right hand drive, I assume that it would have been 86" but the Kenworth in the video is left hand drive ??? Any info would be much appreciated.

That's a real nice looking Mack, love the idea of building something that could have been, especially when it could quite easily have been done for real, excellent work and colour scheme, top job!!!

AMT Kenworth K123

Now that's a coincidence, I was just looking through the box of the same kit with a mind to making a start at the weekend and wondering what surprises were in store, apart from quite a lot of flash on some parts and a broken track rod end it dos'nt look too bad ( I just know I am going to regret saying that later) doing a check of the parts I thought I was missing a set of steps for the passenger side but then discovered from the plans that they were only on the drivers side (strange) it must have been a bit of a scrabble to get in for the second driver/passenger? Its great that you have posted the photo's of your finished Kenworth now, as I can use them as reference as well as the plans and pictures on the box, yours as come out really great despite the problems you say you had with the build, I am thinking that the kit I have is a later one than the first AMT kits as it was advertised as a AMT round 2 kit ? maybe it will go together better than the earlier ones ( ah ah I here you laughing) I was also wondering what period of time this kit covers in the build history of the Kenworth k100/k123 story, I know it is early to mid seventies but it would be helpful to have a little more information on the build years, it dos'nt give you anything on the box. Anyway yours looks great, nice one!!!! -

Thanks for the comments guy's, really appreciated. I must try and improve on the paint finish though, I allways seem to have problems with masking and getting a clean finish, maybe I will try decals for the striping on the next build, anyway happy hassle free modeling everyone. Thanks again all. -

Following along too. -
I will definitely try this way of doing the window gasket on my next scratch build, I used this system to make the head light surrounds on my scratch built MARMON cab leaving the surround square but never thought to work it like you suggest for the windows, I found that trying to bend the half round around the corners of the windows with liquid glue sometimes made the plastic more brittle and then they broke ( I probably used too much) aventually I managed to do it by partly warming the plastic and the liquid glue as well but it seemed very hit and miss, its great to watch builds like this as you can learn so much, it really is a great forum, a great big thank you to everybody who share's there builds and idea's here. I would think that this build is definitely going to be a show winner!!!

Thanks for the kind comments folks, managed to take some more photo's this evening while it was still in the yard, that will be it now for a while until I get some of the end of the summer jobs out of the way, next project in the pipeline though for the Autumn, plenty of time till then for the planning stage, cheers all, happy modeling. -
Well, after almost 2 years since I started this build, it is finished enough to put into the under the glass section. There is still a little work to do, mainly lettering, on the roof box and the cab storage lockers but I can't really order just one small packet of transfer letters all the way from Scotland so I will wait until I need more for the next build, which will be arriving this coming weekend, (two Kenworth's) Here are a few photo's of the almost finished truck, happy modeling everyone.

Looks pretty good for a training build, I would be well happy with it, great work!!! The photo of the ditched truck/trailer looks interesting, at least the driver looks as if I would not have been injured, though I am glad it's not me having to ring the boss? -
