  1. Excellent work!! its going to be some outfit when its finished.
  2. Those injector pipes really make a difference, great work on the engine, its all looking good.
  3. This is a really interesting project to follow, great work so far.
  4. That Mack is a proper Beast! and the whole rig is looking fantastic, great work!! really enjoying watching this build come together.
  5. Hi Brian and Tom, thanks for the encouraging feedback guy's much appreciated, finally got started on the cab now, done a few bits for the interior and de-chromed the grab rails as well as adding an extra step at the bottom, the cab has been raised a scale 5 inches supposedly during restoration and updating. The console for above windscreen and the two storage shelves for the sleeper are all new and were made in the workshop (ficticious) I also made a new gear stick, the A M T one was a little bit vague to say the least, there did not seem to be a roof air con unit in the kit and it looked a bit empty up top so I sorted that, I made new mirrors to represent European spec types and the twin headlight's are from the Revell Aerodyne kit to represent 7" lenses, the two double spot lamp units for the cab roof in the first photo probably won't be used as things are a bit full up there, I will use the five running lights instead.
  6. Slowly slowly getting there, you will probably have noticed that the air intake caps are a bit off centre with the intake pipes, they are not fixed as are the top pipe's of the exhaust stacks as I will be sure to catch them and do a lot more damage before I finish the rest of the truck, I will glue them on as the last job.
  7. Excellent work on the trailer and the cab interior looks perfect, the dash board is always the bit that gives me the most grief but yours looks so neat, really enjoying this build.
  8. Weathering looks just fine, a real top job!! excellent work all round. Maybe a load for the flat bed? chained oil pipes, or perhaps just the timber packers with the chains thrown on top, just a thought.
  9. Enjoying watching this build come together, its looking good.
  10. Interesting project to follow, its looking good so far.
  11. Great work and detailing!! I missed the oil pump on my 350 build, its too late now, at least that is one item that is definatley below the chassis rail, a great build to follow and learn from.
  12. Excellent work!! looks just right, and sure the Kenworth Bullnose would be a really interesting build to follow, is it started?
  13. Engine's looking good, I had the same problem with the plumbing, no two photo's or video's the same, I think you have to make a compromise in the end and do what looks right bearing in mind that a lot of the detail disappears down below the chassis rails when installed, its still nice to know it is all there even if you can't see much of it after.
  14. Great looking 1.1 a real classic! I am sure the model is going to look as good as the real thing and will be a fitting tribute to your dad, good look with the build, I will be following and looking forward to seeing more.
  15. Made a little more progress over the last week, got the Cummins twin/t for the Aerodyne up to the same stage as the one for the K123, both builds are further on but I need to upload the photo's to the computer, maybe this weekend? Thanks for watching Torsten, look forward to seeing some of your work.
  16. Hi folks, got a little bit more done on the K123, painted the engine and did a little more detailing to it, I am still not 100% happy with the Cummins colour, it looked fine until it dried, it will have to do though, once it is weathered a bit it should be ok, at the end of the day it is supposed to be a refurbished block, so I can blame it on the paint shop! The truck is supposed to represent the first Kenworth bought by the company (second hand) and has been totally refurbished and updated a little, it is still earning its keep during the week but is a show truck at the weekend, all totally ficticious but for me it gives me a reason why the truck looks the way it does when it is finished, so it will only be very lightly weathered, should get quite a bit more done this next week, fingers crossed, cheers to all who are sticking with this slow build.
  17. Great work on the cab interior, I can believe it took all day, I bet your eye's needed a rest after, the truck colour scheme is neat too, looking forward to seeing more.
  18. This is going to be a real treat to watch and learn from, another great project on the way, you can always tell when models are going to look right, even at this stage it looks just right, looking forward to seeing this come together.
  19. Excellent work!! love the detailing.
  20. Looks great!! a proper tough looking workhorse.
  21. Thanks Jeff, I enjoy doing the pipe detailing, but most of it disapear's behind other things as the model comes together, so is it worth all the time and effort, maybe? managed to get some primer on the K123 this week
  22. Only just picked up on this one, the Cat looks great! as does the rest of the build, shame about the decals but I am sure you are about to find a way round the problem, not every build needs to be done up to the eyeballs to come out on top, its looking great anyway.
  23. Interesting project, I also spent hours looking at Cummins 350 engines for my Kenworth on the internet and finished up more confused than before I started, don't think I found two the same, there is a simplified diagram/drawings somewhere on this site that I used along with what I found on u tube, looking forward to seeing more work on this build.
  24. Excellent work and lovely detailing with the pipe work, its going to be some outfit! how are you off for shelf space?
  25. Nice finish on the fuel tanks.
