  1. Fixing a slight door hinge issue and patching a little bit of door frame I accidentally sanded off a bit too much!
  2. Thanks for showing us how you built the trailer! I’m going to build one for my Porsche to be towed by my Bronco ! Track Days !!!
  3. Yeah, it was from my local Hobby Shop! They usually get stuff super fast and have a ton of Aoshima Lamborghini’s ( all the crazy new ones.) I don’t know what the hold-up is but I might have 2 of them by the end of it because I definitely want to build this one this Summer or fall!! With all the problems you improved, the base kit still looks good! It not model building if there’s not some sort of puzzle to solve!
  4. This is a Super Cool build with all the latches and reconfiguring of mounting points etc to create the kit it should of been. I wonder if Aoshima has stoped production of this kit. Because I order one like 3 months ago and it still hasen’t Come, so I’m just going to buy one off a friend cause he has 5 of them. I,m 1/4 of the way there because I have the photo etch!
  5. Pico, Thanks for letting me know about the shapeways process. Again, excellent build and looking forward to seeing the rest of the pieces in this puzzle!
  6. I might buy this kit 4 the wheels ! What size are they? Good work on your YouTube channel!
  7. Make a rally car out of it or a Baja Beetle !
  8. Those seats are looking sharp! Not much ribbing at all in those prints! How is shapeways to deal with since they do a gradual price bump for the materials every so often? Is that the powdered sintered material?
  9. This is a Super Intense build! I always thought what a scale build-up of this model would look like and what kits to use since I saw the film. Now I know, and It’s really impressive! Go Gigahorse!!!
  10. Adding some mechanical details to the engine: the tubing is bent in a random way to allow for 2 more rods to be glued on when it’s finally in place ( PITA, but got it done) Also did an oversized distributor and some Aluminum side paneling on engine as best I could ! Quick Update !
  11. Super Cool! I can’t believe that you completed the build! Nice oil and debris stains on the finished car. Great overall build !
  12. LOve the scratch builds! Can’t wait to see all the 3D printed parts! Meticulous amounts of shaping and reshaping the body. I didn’t know anything of these cars before I saw your thread !
  13. Wow! Super cool, Can’t wait to see the rest of the milled and machined metal pieces you are using !
  14. Also, haven’t figured out how to add more text after uploading my photos! I can add on to my initial paragraph but not sure how to add more text underneath the uploaded picture files ! I’m using an iPad so that might have something to do with it ! I was wondering how most of you guys post multiple paragraphs with pics in one post?
  15. Got around to a few updates: First, I has to adjust the indicator slots by rounding them off. Then I had to repaint and now it’s looking acceptable. Second I got the baller X-pipe with muffler roughed in and I also included a picture of the engine I was going to try to do before I figured out I would’nt be able to close the engine hatch! Finally, moved the hinged door closer to outside of car and put magnet in the tires and wheels. Also, I made beefier rear shocks with tooth picks and some wire ! Forgot I put some .5mm brass rod as trim on the dash !
  16. This is going to be Awesome! Can’t wait to see the progression through the stages to produce a final Mini with all the junk in the trunk!
  17. Wow! Saw your Jaguar retooled racer build ! It was too cool! Good use of old kit. Also love your mini shop that you use to tell a tale with every build! ( like when you show photos of machining parts) Super fun !
  18. Thanks Rob! I just moved and unpacked my stuff! I will probably get around this weekend to doing some more stuff on the build! Can’t wait to see your Porsche outlaw build!!!!!!
  19. These are the brakes and spacers I made for the back wheels. Might have to sand them down a bit to create right spacing. I only made the spacers not the fujimi brakes. Painted them though! Have to move the door hinge back between 2-4mm to get the door to open wider. I had to thicken out the door car a bit to get the same look as passenger side, therefore I have to push the hinge back a bit to create some space!
  20. Here’s a sneak peak of the ride height and stance I’m going for:
  21. JC love all the pulleys and engine detail! Wondering if your light bar is scratched styrene or a resin piece ?
  22. Hey Nathan, I should order some more stuff from scale productions ! I’m using their singer lights, tail spoiler, seats, and various metal parts! Right now I’ve been using RS Watanabe 17” fujimi !
  23. JC, thanks 4 posting those pics! Porsche has a really unique history in racing. Especially since they basically bolted stuff on production cars and raced them! There wasn’t a ton of R and D done. It was like tack on a few more production cars and send it to the race location! The mechanics will figure it out later and the drivers just drive! One kit I haven’t seen in a while is the Tamiya Alpine (Renault) Monte Carlo Rally. That kit look fun too. I kind of want to do a Cayman GT4 as well!
  24. Thanks Brian! I hope it turns out good too! Thanks 4 watching !
  25. Wow JC! Post some picks of your other builds on this page! I want to see the Tour de France 911 ST as well as some of the other builds you posted. I’m also thinking of doing a 911 safari build with the revell turbo body because it’s wide and has a super short windshield. It just screams desert racer. What do you think of the Tamiya 959 kit ? I think it could be turned into something cool.
