Awesome! I love this kit, built 3 times in the last decade. You give me inspiration for some more! -

2020 Cannonball Run Build Thread!

#40 Black Beauty I scratch built a center mounted license plate frame for the rear bumper... ...and made a "Hornet" plate: This plate would not be really "street legal" as the the rules are prescribing, so I built it as a rotating plate just like the one in the movie: -

A 2-Door Tucker is a nice idea, great job! It might look cool as a hardtop... -

The longer I look at this Willys the more I like the pink. The beauty and the beast, this is both!

2020 Cannonball Run Build Thread!
Koellefornia Kid replied to disconovaman's topic in Community Builds
I took some weeks off the work bench but now my fingers are itching, so I decided to enter the Cannonball Run with something I wanted to do for years (since I first saw the movie) and if I don't do it now, I probably never will... What I will try to do is this: The Black Beauty from the 2011 movie The Green Hornet. Starting point is this resin 1965 Chrysler Imperial I got from eBay a few years ago: A lot of flash will have to be removed and a lot of things will have to be scratch built but we will see where things are going... I want to start with the parts that will have to be chrome plated like the rear bumper: I shaved the deck lid and fitted the rear bumper/taillight section to the body: I also deleted the side mounted license plate for the Black Beauty has a center mounted plate, the first part that will have to be scratch built. __So long... -

Though I'm a single malt scotch-man I really like this build! -
I like wagons and I definitively like this one! I think you should keep the Phantom Vickie wheels, the Wagon Rod wheels might look a bit too aggressive...

I agree, the pin stripe is definitively an improvement!

Really cool! The pin stripes look great on that gold!

'40 Ford Coupe The One That Started It All!
Koellefornia Kid replied to Plowboy's topic in Model Cars
always knew that a ´40 Ford would look cool without the fenders! Nice chop, also! -
As a Mercedes purist and I owned several vintage MBs in my life (a ´69 200, a ´80 200D and a ´84 280SEL), I have to make sure: You made the greatest Mercedes look even greater! The SBC may be blasphemy but the the wheels look cool!

Delicious color, cool wheels and a nice stance!

Sweet build!

I love builds that make me smile! Really like the 8-ball decals!
