  1. An old carborated twin cam?
  2. I like the pads and use them most often but sometimes you just need a sheet.
  3. +1 on a little heat
  4. I was just a couple years ago I saw multi-millions of dollars worth of original Ferrari 250 GTO rolling off the track into a guard rail, doing massive amounts of damage.
  5. Yes, when we had our Cobra in the shop we heard stories of one going down the side of a mountian, rolling, and burning to the ground and rebuild from what was left of the frame, which was all that was left.
  6. Donno for sure, but as far as I can tell DHS got some special grant to buy these cars and a few other makes. The Caddi in this trim costed $60,000.00
  7. That is insane. BTW, the famed Carol Shelby Cobra CX1001 is going to auction block, just thought if you didn't already know you'd like to.
  8. Interesting. Peugeot has a new car in the works too, but most are speculating that it's going to be a gasoline car. It has some tell-tailed intake cues that don't make any sense for an oil burner. Unlike the Audi, which looks like it will continue on with diesel (it has a compartitively small intake), as there is no big air-intake scoop like the new Peugeot, which suggests gasoline for the later. It does look like a knitted together hodge podge of stuff from the parts bin. No where as pretty as the EXP Speed 8 or 908 HID FAP. Audi must be taking their cues from F1. It sure kills the profile lines of it though, it is supposed help high speed stablity. Speaking of F1 2013 the new era of TURBOs are coming in a 4cyl high boost turbo 1.6l, and they are talking up to 500 bar fuel pressure and 4,000 less rpm. It will be interesting to see what the boyz come up with. The last time turbos were allowed they were 1.0l to 1.2l and produced a whopping 1600+ bhp in quali trim, which is more than twice what they are running now.
  9. I always have a hard time hearing about stuff like this... My best friend's daughter, who I watched grow up, was killed earlier this year. A very high rate of speed and alcohol were contributing factors. She hit a 1-Ton truck parked in a driveway and ended upside down in the front yard: in a residential 25mph zone. It was absolutely devastating.
  10. All 1/24 plastic full detail kits. Peugeot 908 HiD FAP Porsche 550 RS Spyder Pangani Zonda C12 Bentely EXP Speed 8 2011 Porsche GT3 RSR Lola Aston Martin or Lola Mazda
  11. Looks good. It is a very hard kit to build. In addition there are great many errors in the kit itself.
  12. Me too, paid extra for "outter box," which really wasnt even a box. somehow, the kit was undamaged. IIRC this one came from overseas as well. Nevertheless, I am not surprised about USPS, I have also had the least amount of box damage from USPS. UPS, on the other hand, has been complete horrible, the worst. FED EX isn't so bad, but they are very expensive.
  13. Way too many to list. some 75 assorted Porsches, mostly 911 variants. A handful of Lancia Stratos's, a bunch of GTP LeMans prototypes, GT1 LeMans Prototypes, 30 or so Ferraris, and about 50 planes and another 50 Armor kits, a dozen "Girl Figure" kits, 5 more RC helis, 4 RC airplanes, about 475 kits in all. 14. V8 Supercars is an awesome series! Unfortunately a diecast company has exclusive rights to V8 Supercars so no model kits.
  15. Paasche and Badger are good brushes, however, an Iwata is a cut above.
  16. Having had or still have Badger and Iwata brushes, I can say the Badger is a good brush. However, the Iwata is a fantastic brush. I use my Iwata most often for most applications and with great results. I know I will beat up for this but frankly I didn't like the Paasche brush. I didn't like the fat handle and the quality didn't seem quite as good as Badger, and it was no where close to Iwata. You will just need to get a small 0-60 psi regulator for airbrushes. I built my one paint booth because I couldn't find a ready made one that I really liked.
  17. I think pictures would help. The box was an alu. cold air box to direct fresh air in only and not the hot engine compartment air.

    Mk1 scirocco

Looks good. I would still like to take a crack at Wolfenstien.
  19. That looks like Great Lakes Dragway

    427 Cobra

The only thing more stuffed is a 427 Cammer, which the one (which was not this car) I worked on the valve covers sat under the fenders. http://www.colinsclassicauto.com/zoom.php?car=196&pic=17
