Could be an E there was about 5 or 6 "Types" that were virtually the same thing: 82/E 86 87 98 which were all on the kubelwage platform. Some were indeed 4X4 types: 86, 87, 98 the E was the only one that wasn't.
I think F1 would rank right up there, though. They, however, have a little different art of driving. I would have to think a ralley driver would only see 4.5 Gs in the event of a collision with a tree.
I don't think they are quite the same animal unless you're a Finn, then you're just an animal in any motorsports - apparently.

Well they were not all Black, but he, Ford, was convienced black dried quicker.
IIRC there may have been another quality of black he liked. I know he was into paints and primers, and some kind of early galvinzed sheet metal.
