  1. Just picked this up at a flee market for 5 smackers! It looks pretty old and has already been started. I plan on restoring this to something better then original. Now time to dig in and dismantle!
  2. Its done I guess. I just remembered why this was on the shelf of doom to begin with... Its freaking cursed. Just screwed up the paint for a second time today. I am now retiring it to the shelf of doom again. At least now its painted rather then white. I may get back to this in the future but right now I need to stop building it before I whip it at a wall.
  3. And yes thank you for the tip. BTW do you think I should put the clear on small coats or just not worry about it?
  4. Lol yes I tried putting on small coats before but it ends up just building up really super fast and running. So here I slapped some clear green paint on super quick small coats, and it seemed to do the trick. Currently I'm humble with the dark green look, and find it at least somewhat presentable even though a more consistent green would make me more happy. Aka I'm making excuses so I don't have to strip the paint again.
  5. Thanks!... I guess, I'm just completely confused.
  6. Yes its a revell ford t big tub. I always assumed a model t was the same if not close to the same scale as a model a. I have never actually gotten the chance to compare the two cars in person, so its neat actually learning the T is smaller then the A.
  7. So the box says 1/8 scale... But here's the body up next to a 1/8 scale 32 ford body. so I think the box is lying to me and its really a 1/12 scale rather than a 1/8 scale.
  8. Second coat, still looks like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH but I'll finish it anyways
  9. I PRESENT TO YOU... THE SHELF OF DOOM!!!! Its a shelf full of long stalled cars, maybe soon to be kitbashed into something new, maybe soon to collect dust and die.
  10. That's a great idea!
  11. Thanks!
  12. Thanks! It helps a lot!
  13. OK please tell me .. How in the world did you manage to paint that thing.
  14. Thanks! I got it missing the flip up headlights, so I'm going to have to make them. I did airbrush the green this time but its just a little dark in some areas.
  15. In fact it is!
  16. Lol, this one is really bad... I'm going to attempt to do something to the paint, maybe some really good wet sands. I painted and stripped this stupid thing 4 times in counting! But now I have tried a new color...GREEN, maybe green is more forgiving then red.
  17. Paint still ran, still looks like garbage. May just go back on the shelf of doom.
  18. This is my 63 cougar 2 dragster. Its been sitting on the "shelf of doom" for a long time. Needs a little work, finding it hard to paint the body, paint keeps on running no matter what. Only a few mission g parts but I may be able to get by. Its still prob not going to be as good looking as I hope in the end, but at least it will be finished.
  19. This is my dads kit that he has neglected for a while, now me and him are going to finish it. Any bad color choices you can blame on him.
  20. Its finally finished. My kit bashed, garage sale special, franken-chev is now officially under glass!! Thanks to all the help and support I got on this kit! Please excuse the saturated pictures, my phone not the best.
  21. Makeshift fan update Sorry guys, I love your ideas on the fan housings, but only problem is that It would take a while for those parts to come in. I'm exited to get this thing done, so I make shifted myself a fan similar to some of the fans you guys showed me.
  22. Custom electric fan. Pic is sideways All I did was take the stock fan and glue it to a wheel backing piece off the same glue bomb charger I pulled the engine from. After that I slapped some painted wire mesh from a screen door on there. I topped off the look by using an air filter from a 1/25 scale 63 corvette as the "Electric motor".
  23. bottom end of the car is now finished. Made myself a driveshaft and cut up the trans.
  24. Thanks! And yes it is a 1/16 scale the description had a typo in it. Just noticed it and fixed it.
  25. Lol I'll check it out now.
