  1. Found another interesting set of wheels. These could be easily be painted black or even body color (orange is what I had in mind originally!). Here's a comparison pic... New wheels: Previous ideas:

    Monza

I am totally in love with this model. Awesome!
  3. Oh, ######. The bad thing when you take your time in a project is that new ideas keep springing up. I just mocked up this: And now I'm torn between both. I gotta say I have a weakness for whitewalls and primer...
  4. Awesome!
  5. This is looking just awesome. Love it!
  6. The Annoying Orange has a car!
  7. You're absolutely right, man! I tweaked the chassis a bit and managed to get the stock interior to fit perfectly--anything that cam be made easier, will. Also dechromed and assembled the '28 Lincoln wheels to see how it all looks. Those are mean wheels--I love 'em!
  8. Okay, did some work tomorrow last night even though the garage was coooooold. Decided to adapt the Cord front suspension to a scratchbuilt frame, to showcase and highlight the FWD aspects, and also made mounting everything easier. Still needs more plastic and putty, but it's a start. And no, I'm not choppin' it, I think it looks pretty jaunty and cool with the stock top! The last pic is the intended ride height, and it's quite achievable.
  9. We have a winner! Not a wiener.
  10. Actually it's NOT sitting backwards.
  11. Even though I'm sticking to the Matador project, this nugget came to my mind today. Can anyone identify the powertrain and tell me what's unusual about this?
  12. Glue is intelligent--it actively tries to stick to whatever you don't want it to stick to!
  13. So Ferrari were the ones who ended up creating a modern Lamborghini Espada. Who would've thought? Lovely design, I think Ferrari outdid themselves this time.
  14. I have a very good feeling about this!

    07 mustang

Indeed, very nice color, and I love the seats.
  16. Are you reading my mind? I thought about doing that this morning! Actually, looking at the color I used inside and out, I might go for something like McLaren orange instead of red...So the wheel stripe would be orange too!

    1936 ford coupe

  18. Could be. The engine was assembled at the start of the project almost 10 years ago, so anything is possible.
  19. Okay, I decided this will be my next project. Started this in 2003, never finished it. Now I remembered these odd wheels, and I realized the wheel holes mirror somewhat the design of the rear window, and that pegged my weird-o-meter. So it's on. Might paint it red with black wheels...
  20. Love 'em!
  21. Cool! That makes three of us MCMers. Why won't you compete?

    Tall-T low rod

    Yep. Bent Plastruct, eyeball engineering.
  23. Love it, some I-6 lovin'!
  24. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for this model. My dad had a green Hornet with a light green top when he was young, brash, and a National Guard sergeant. He unfortunately crashed the car and it was destroyed beyond repair. He always remembered that car fondly. Even though Dad died five years ago, I would love to replicate his car.
  25. Jaw. Floor. That is all.
