  1. So you'll trade all your '30s Fords for all my modern kits? Such self-sacrifice!
  2. Wait, I think you got that backwards. I want all the flatheads too!
  3. Specifically, 1930's cars. They're so easy to chop, cut, slam, etc...And they always look cool. I feel like selling all my other kits and then hoard old Fords and (probably) Chevrolets...And only build those. Maybe I've smelled too much Ambroid cement.
  4. I built this model in just one day! Around 2004, there was a model show the next day, and I didn't want to just take there the same old stuff, so after getting authorization from the CEO (my wife), I disconnected from everything and slammed this together in a day. Although it never won any prizes, most people find it cute in its spidery-ness. Basically box-stock except for the rear tires and of course a little wiring.
  5. It made an appearance in "Live And Let Die", driven by some pimpin' bad guy!
  6. Thanks, guys! Small update...Put in the exhaust (this will be one noisy rod!), painted the interior and gave it texture with artist's acrylics, and mocked up the "radiator" shell. I think it looks kinda neat, with a 60's custom vibe to it.
  7. This is my favorite Chevrolet truck design ever. The side window shapes and lack of trim around them, the concave section around the body, the serious (and not angry) look of the grille and lights...These pickups have a graceful design that unfortunately many people overlook. This is gonna be sweet.

    32-3 Window

Where did you get the wheels and tires?

    32-3 Window

Amazing work. Perfect stance, and of course, killer color!
  10. Yup, simulating some sort of fuel filter.

    Tall T

That's a paradox--badass and cute at the same time! Awesome model, love it.
  12. This is a project that I started almost a year ago, let it drop, and now I'm back to finishing! Resin Tall-T body on a scratchbuilt chassis made with Plastruct (first time I do this!), engine, wheels and tires are from an old built kit that I disassembled. Paint is Tamiya, left satin on purpose, and cheap white enamel for everything else! The radiator shell was also scratchbuilt, as was the interior pan. The seat is a sectioned unit from a Lindberg '34 pickup. Basically what needs to be finished is the interior and some front suspension detailing, the windows, and it'll be done hopefully before the end of the month.
  13. You're kidding me, right? That looks ridiculously real! Excellent work.
  14. I just had this wacky idea: Find another T-Bird windshield and frame, and put it on the boat!

    1969 OLDS 442

Very cool, clean as a whistle.
  16. This should be in the dictionary for the definition of "Custom". Awesome work, excellent proportions, you have quite a knack for design!
  17. In real life, this would be an excellent candidate to win the AMBR! Awesome job. I agree about the seats; take 'em down a bit and it'll be perfect!

    1932 Surf Woody

That's cabling off a PC power supply!

    1932 Surf Woody

    Thanks, guys!
  20. This is the quickest Pole ever!
  21. Awesome, that thing looks dangerous! Perfect stance!
  22. I really like the 56 Chevy!

    Son of Ford

It needs a bigger exhaust header. That thing looks mean! Pretty cool.
  24. What are you doing here in the forum? Go and cruise around in that sweet machine! Love the color and the stance--lowered, but not too much.
  25. I love it! I like how the wheel.tire combo gives it a modern look but somehow remain classic-looking. And those seats look comfy.
