Issue 222
stinkybritches replied to Dave Ambrose's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Same question here. I received a link for the digital copy but I'm not subscribed to digital. -
Everything seems to be working correctly for me. Good job on the update and fix
-
Absolutely nothing has changed for me when using my phone with Chrome or Brave browsers. Latest Android version. DuckDuckGo browser still works, though.

AMT 1961 Ford Galaxie hardtop, any news?

I agree with you 100% -
I'm sorry, I should have explained why I asked you about 3D Builder. I guess that's what happens when I post something when I should be working. I always load my files into 3D Builder before trying to print in order to make sure that everything is okay. If you load up a file and there is a red box around it then there is a problem that might affect printing. 3D Builder will then attempt to fix it. So I was just wondering if you had tried that to see if everything was fine with the file. Please forgive me if I am telling you something that you already know.

How to make candy pink paint?
stinkybritches replied to LDO's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I don't know what kind of paint that you want to use, but here is a Createx video showing how to make candy pink with their paint line. https://youtu.be/DZ9abknPwO4?si=Tq5TCnh8ieNY5FN7 I can't embed the video. I'm assuming it's due to the ongoing forum issues. -

I posted a little higher up the page that I am now having problems on latest Android version and using Chrome. I installed the DuckDuckGo browser and all is well, at least for the time being. Until this past Saturday I was only having problems on pc with Windows 10. -

Everything was working perfectly on my phone, now I'm having the same issues as on pc. I can't mark anything as read, can't go to next page, and can't leave likes. Tried using Chrome and Brave browsers on latest Android OS. -

Sigh... add to cart. ? Looks top notch. Looking forward to receiving it. Now, what to put it in. -
Nice. I've never seen Ministry, but I've seen Alice Cooper and White Zombie/Rob Zombie a couple of times each. They put on a great show.

Here's my 2 cents, do with it what you wish. If something does not exist to me and then I glue some styrene together and shape it into a part, that's scratch building. If something does not exist to me and I use 3d software and design a part and then print it out, it's still scratch building. Printing a part that someone else modeled is no different than cutting a part from a sprue. Modeling the part yourself is the scratch part. To sum up, scratch building is scratch building no matter the medium used to make the part.

It's a shame that there are so few color pictures from that time period.

Excellent work, Mark. Great job on the paint. Your brush painting looks better than my airbrushing.

Not able to go to switch pages on individual topics.

I use Chrome , Edge, and Brave on my work and home pc. None of them will go to page 2 or allow me to like a post. I have no problems when using Chrome and Brave on my phone. I'm ASSuming that it is a Windows setting that may be causing the issue. I'm on Win 10 at home and work. -
Help with Creality Harlot one printer
stinkybritches replied to V8tiger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm just going to throw some ideas out there for you to try. Unfortunately, it is hard to troubleshoot without being able to see what is happening. Make sure when you slice the file that it is actually on the build plate. I had that happen once when using the Halot Box slicer. It had a bug that raised the file from the plate when you sliced it and I didn't notice it. Does it look like something was on the plate at some point? If so you can probably rule out the above. When you have a failure, is it on the same part of the plate? I would lean towards a plate that needs to be leveled if that is the case. Do you have even tension on the paper that you use when leveling? If one side is tighter than the other, level it again. There will be even tension at both ends when the plate is level. I have heard of people needing to hit the plate with sandpaper to gain adhesion. Here is a link to a video tutorial on the Phrozen website: https://phrozen3d.com/blogs/tutorials/sonic-mini-4k-sanding-the-build-plate Is your FEP tight enough? A loosely tensioned FEP can cause failures. What resin are you using? Some are harder to work with than others. You may need to bump up your initial exposure. I have used as much as 60 seconds. Have you made sure that the protective film has been removed from the screen and the FEP? The film that is over the screen is only there to protect the screen during shipping not for resin spills. There is protective film available for that purpose. Try this: Clean the build plate as best as you can. Level the plate as best you can. Use fresh resin that has been warmed up and shaken thoroughly. Find a file for a small object that you have had good luck printing. Add that object to your plate 6 times using your preferred slicer. Arrange the objects so that there is one in each corner (a total of 4), and 2 in the middle of the plate (1 at the top and 1 at the bottom). Sort of like this -> : : : Print this using your settings that have had successful prints. My thought process for the above is that if you have failures on one part of the plate then the plate might not be level. The failure occurring where the plate is farther from the screen relative to the successful prints. Facebook has an excellent group that can help. Many knowledgeable people there. They will be able to help way more than I can. https://www.facebook.com/groups/crealityhalot It's a private group but I am sure they will accept you. I'm hoping someone else can chime in a give you a hand. I'm sure I am forgetting a lot of things that could be helpful. -
