From the quick once over I've given it, it seems to be very well done. I haven't had a chance to do any test fitting.

Got these over the last 2 days. Not pictured is the Light Pewter paint from Splash Paints.

I received my order from Mega Hobby today. Everything looks to be cleanly molded, as expected considering the new tooling. I can't wait to get started on it.

I'm liking it already.

I got notice today that my order has shipped from Mega Hobby. Hobby Nut Models is now showing that they will have it in stock on July 13, that's tomorrow as I write this.

Mega Hobby is showing them in stock.

I have noticed that the USPS is now far better for delivering packages than for general mail, at least in my little part of paradise. Roughly 15 years ago the sorting center that handed off to my local post office was rated as the worst in the US. It would take weeks for a birthday card to be delivered to the next county over. It's much better now.

Yes, it is his responsibility, and his alone, to make sure everything is running properly. It's his business. Whatever it takes to keep it running is what he has to do. If it means he has to click on everything every day, then he has to click on everything every day. There was nothing to indicate a problem with the website, so why would I contact him to ask if the unavailable product was actually available? None of the other stuff came up as "not available". The only reason I checked other sites is because I had been looking at this product for a while and finally decided to get some. The great thing about a want, versus a need, is that you can shrug your shoulders and walk away having lost nothing.

It's not my job to keep someone else's company/website operating properly.

The C1 site shows "that item is not available" when you try to add to cart. Several online shops show the product as discontinued. Maybe pandemic related? It's a shame if it's no longer available. I kept telling myself to order it, but I never did.

You are correct. I did as others have and jumped on one part of his comment while ignoring the rest. I mixed his comment in with others comments and have made myself look foolish. My apologies to you. I have used several of your distributors and they are top notch.

Some of you are arguing the wrong point. The original post was about lack of communication, not shipping speed. Being a one man operation is not a get out of jail free card for lack of basic communication. I don't care how good the product is, and the above mentioned companies make excellent products, it is bad customer service to let a customer twist in the wind not knowing if their order was received. My comment is based on the edited original post. It is entirely possible that something has been added or removed from the original post that would change my opinion.

I wish there was some NASCAR inspired high speed driving in my area. I think it would be fun to do a little side drafting on the cars that are drifting into my lane.
