  1. You nailed it I'd be more than happy to have one like this on my shelf Colour and upholstery are in perfect balance
  2. Very crisp build I've done a few 50's cars because I love chrome. Yours turned out real nice
  3. Nice build of a rarely seen model. I wish Revell or AMT would make some kits of these old 50's Buicks (and Pontiacs....and Dodges) It's great to see something I've never seen before!
  4. Very neat and tidy. Well shot photos and an excellent paint job!
  5. A lot of work!!! This is going to be so excellent when you finish it. I'm massively impressed.
  6. I built one of these in a similar shade of green, but I prefer your wheels to those in the kit. The radiused arches look good. Nice work
  7. This is the Revell re-issue of an old kit. The parts had a lot of flash and sink marks and the longer parts were warped. The body comprises of 9, yes, 9 parts. It was quite tricky to keep it all aligned. I made an oil filler and a dynamo. I used fine wire for the belts. Interior is flocked and has a bit of BMF. I decided to use the kit decals, which proved to be a real challenge. I have just given the body a coat of clear and I'll be foiling the side trim this week.
  8. Very interesting...especially as I'm currently building one of these. ( I just realized I'm building the New Yorker, St Regis version) Mine's a (1/32 scale?) Revell re-issue of the original 1956 kit. The one with the 9-piece body, big sink marks and warped parts. I rather fancy making one in 1/25. This is going on my 'to-do' list.
  9. Nice colour combo and very cleanly built. (Can you post a couple more pics a bit more in focus, please? Rest the camera on a book, especially if you have low light )

    PINK 48

Nice! I like the top picture. You got it looking just right
  11. This is new to me...I don't think I've seen either a kit or a 1:1 of these cars. The paint really is very well done. A crisp build all-round.
  12. Yeah James, hats off to you for that conversion...I wouldn't know where to start! I've gotta have a look at your build thread and see how you did it. This is a cool car I dig the foxtail and your paint is top notch. May I also add a small hint? Have a go at thinning black paint and letting it flow into the grille details. Clean off the high points with a soft cloth or Q-tip. It gives it much greater depth and removes shine where there should be shadow or holes.
  13. I'll take a pic for you. You'll need to do a little bit of work as I bought the kit and then found it had been kinda started. The blower scoop is in two parts and hasn't been glued very well. It'll need prising apart and reassembly. You are more than welcome to it. PM me your address and you can have it and the kit blower belt, too.
  14. Thanks I opted for no chrome, but I guess I should've sanded off the wheelarch lips.
  15. Thanks for your comments everyone I got the wheels from HobbySearch in Japan as nobody seems to sell them in the UK.
  16. just seen the magic tree air freshener hanging from the mirror Superb!!
  17. Amazing work! The graffiti is pin-sharp! I like everything about this build. The interior details are awesome..right down to the mesh on the cap! Gotta check out more of your work. It's very inspirational.
  18. I thought this was a 70, but I've since discovered it's a 69 with this grille. This is the Fast & Furious 70 Charger kit (A rebox of the General Lee kit...so I'm told) I bought it on eBay for £9. The kit blower is dreadful, so I bought a pewter blower and scoop. I added a toothed belt and alu pulleys. It has a little bit of photoetch under the hood and I flocked the interior red to connect to the accents on the engine and roll cage. Wheels are by Aoshima and the tyres are some of the best I've used. Excellent tread and true to scale sidewall detail. I hope you like it..
  19. Looks great! Perfect colour choice. The trailer gives it added realism. Engine looks sweet. It looks ready to fire-up
  20. Home-run! This has no bad points at all. Great choice of wheels, the radiused rear arches look just right.
  21. Hey Ronny! You must be the only dude from Bangladesh on here...welcome aboard! Great finish on your paint and top marks for detailing the engine, too. I like the way you got around the bad chrome problem. Nice save! Keep posting your builds
  22. I'm glad you decided to post this build. It's really good! Paint and engine are fantastic. The plumbing in the engine bay is impressive. Personally, I never get tired of seeing these kits. I'll have to get one someday
  23. This kit builds up into a really great looking car! I love the stripes on the green. Excellent choice. Decals look great, too. My only tiny criticism, would be that you need to give the tail lights another coat of clear red. Then tidy up the edges with a toothpick when its dried. Have you tried BMF yet? Give it a go, it's not that tricky to use.
  24. Nice job on the Aston, Mitchell! I've seen plenty of these in London and yours sits just right. Your decision to change the tyres really paid-off. It looks very convincing. Looks like you had much better luck with the red paint. Very nice work.
  25. I don't think I've ever seen one of these before. This is a great build. Love the wheels! Colour and finish are spot-on.
