  1. Nice choice of colour, too. Was yours molded in metallic bottle-green? Mine is. I was wondering how many colours they produced, or was it just green? I've built the coupe version and I've got the MCG detail set for when I build the van. They are tricky kits, but they look great.
  2. Bullseye! Man, this is the zenith of model building! I hope that one day, I might be even a tenth as good as you!
  3. Wow, Eric. You got that shine a mile deep! Super-clean build. I know others have said it, but it's very classy looking.
  4. Man, that is AWESOME! A real feast for the eyes...you got a lot of details in there. The weathering works really well and the diorama gives it real 'weight', if you get what I mean. I'm going back for another look. I like this a lot Just seen the rubber sleeves on the tailgate chains. Nice touch!!
  5. I wanna jump in it a go for a drive! Good colour choice and a lovely glossy finish. Very tidy
  6. Thanks for the comments and thanks for the link to your pics, Rudy. Very nice quality shots. Here are a few more pics, as requested: The paint was Tamiya TS-54 (light blue) and I think the dark blue was TS-56, but this looked flat on the sides. It really needs some horizontal surfaces to show off the mica, which is why I then chose to give it a dusting of blue glitter spray, before copious clearcoating.
  7. Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated. The wheels are from the excellent Galaxie 48 Chevy Fleetline. They even have valve stems. Tail lights are from Modelhaus. I thought I was buying individual lenses, so I accidentally ended up with 24 of them. I'm such a muppet... Oh well, they will always come in useful.
  8. I just finished a 58 Impala and I had no idea Modelhaus made a connie kit for it, until I read this thread. Nice collection with a lot of very crisp and neat work. I think you can afford to be less modest. These really are very nice indeed
  9. Here’s my latest build, the AMT 58 Impala. I decided to build this as a mild 60’s custom, with all the chrome, badges and scripts and dropped the suspension as low as it would go without cutting into the chassis/floorpan. I saw a few images online of 60’s cars with Bellflowers, so I made some with alu tube and plumbers solder. The wheels and tyres and rings are from the Galaxie 48 Chevy, I made the bullets from silver 3mm wire. I made some braided water hoses from woven chrome craft ribbon , some fuel lines to the carbs and added wires to ignition, alternator and battery. I added a little PE alternator bracket, too. The interior is flocked and BMF’d with PE details. New gear and turn signal levers were added and the 59 Caddy taillights are from Modelhaus. Paint is from rattle cans. The blues are Tamiya with dark blue glitter on the lower/rear side panels. The roof was sprayed Audi silver then given a dusting with glitter spray. Paint was cleared, wet-sanded and polished. I plan to do less chrome and easy paint on my next build!! Thanks for looking
  10. A very crisp build! Nice foil work and super smooth paint. Normally, I'd say no to a brown car, but this has real class. The grain of the paint looks in-scale, too. Glad to hear you are still building.
  11. Looks great I agree, the first pic looks sweet. Like it was in a magazine or something... Nice to see it's survived intact all these years!
  12. Nice to see 4 doors getting some attention!
  13. Never seen one of these before... I like what you've done with it and the story gives it an added realism.
  14. Knocks my builds into a cocked hat! Fantastic engine detail and you nailed the stance with the chassis tweaks and those wheels. Beeyootiful!

    citation

I had to have a look as I had no idea what a Citation looked like. A very nice build with great under hood detail. Nice to see unusual kits being given some daylight!

    Buggy

I thought this was going to be Meyers Manx. I had no idea another buggy was out there. I also like the colour. Gives it an authentic GRP look. Crisp build
  17. Here are some of mine...
  18. Very crisp rendition. Paint looks really nice too. I like the hood pin detail. Superbee's are awesome motors and this does them justice.
  19. Mate...that is kool and krisp! Love the paint/concept/execution. Very tidy work...I like this a lot. Did I say I like this?
  20. Raised from the dead! Well done with resurrecting the T...it deserved it..poor old thing.
  21. Cheers I'm glad at least some of you like the wheels. I wanted to go for something that might be seen at SEMA, or something like that.. They are Fujimi's Hayashi Street. I think they're about 15"
  22. Nice looking car. You did a superb job on it. Was this the same model as Starsky's, or was his more like a 76? I'd love to build one like that.
  23. Never seen one of these before. You really did an excellent job on it and your hard work paid off. Nice shots, too.
  24. Jeepers! I have a long way to go before I'm even half as skilled as you. This build uses up all available superlatives! Excellent, amazing, incredible... These words don't do it justice. A truly inspiring build. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  25. Blimey! Your builds really inspire me, man! I showed this to some friends who don't build kits... they thought it was 1:1 I hope that one day, with a lot of practice and a bit of luck, I can build half as well as you
