  1. How about a boat ANCHOR? LOL Check out this dude who had to give up on the Amtronic because the kit was missing so many parts.
  2. Well, I thought it was funny too. But then again I never had any kids and caught hell about 30 years ago for teaching my five-year-old nephew how to operate a Bic lighter.
  3. Check out the Mad Max Fury Road war rig build at 2:10.
  4. Looks like that would make an excellent pogo stick for a large-scale RC Trucker.
  5. I bought this cheap hobby tool set off Amazon with 5 different sizes of tweezers. Was $13.99 with free shipping.
  6. Please add me in the rookie class for the Mack DM600. Steve aka Rip
  7. Check out the restored DM886SX in this Mack Museum tour. I am guessing that the pogo stick & susie coils are not historically accurate for 1984.
  8. Hello Everybody. I am just getting back into modeling after nearly 40 years and have been researching big rigs in general and the Mack DM600 in particular. To me, one of the most impressive details on a big rig model are the provisions to connect electric and air to the trailer. Would love to hear from the veteran big rig modelers any tips/techniques they use to add this feature and I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere. Steve
  9. Try this before decanting the can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ5V3CjpywY
  10. Could any of these crazing/blushing problems be caused by mold-release agents at the factory? I understand that some modelers are very anal about thoroughly washing the parts before painting.
  11. Is this the same "Big rig group build 2019" that's on YouTube?
  12. Well, Mack actually acquired Brockway in 1956 and it remained a division of Mack until its closing in June 1977. So that rumor is very likely true.
  13. Nice build & paint job. Just got my DM600 from Hobby Lobby today. I'm going with Model Master Orange Pearl for the body & Dark Green for the interior to try and match Mack factory colors. Also ordered an original 1966 Mack sales brochure from autolit.com.
  14. Awesome detail & weathering. You should enter the pair in a contest.
  15. Awesome build. Just received the DM600 from Hobby Lobby today (40% off and free shipping). Waiting for this same dozer I found on eBay bundled with the AMT lowboy. Note that the lowboys are getting impossible to find and the eBayers are starting to price gouge.
  16. Love that KFS crane kit. How dear was the shipping from England?
