this is my tribute to eXoMod's upcoming new car the d69 carbon Daytona which is a modern hellcat or redeye challenger remade to look like a 69 dodge charger Daytona using custom made full carbon fiber body panels I was originally going to use a modern challenger interior and chassis but the challenger interior did not fit right and left the chassis sitting below the bottom edge of the body so I just used the factory stock 69 charger Daytona interior and chassis and modified the body to look like the concept art and the few wip pics of eXoMod's first build I painted the body Tamiya ts-18 metallic red this is the 2nd of 3 tribute models I made of this local custom car maker’s cars I played a modern accapella cover with of a song that came out in 1969 playing in the background of the video

this is my tribute model to exomod's C68 charger 2.0 I had planed on making this even closer to their actual car but the interior would not fit the body and allow the chassis to sit tucked up under the body but caused it to hang down lower then the sides of the body exomod makes these 68 chargers that are not actually 68 chargers but modern challengers mainly hellcats and redeyes they replace all the body panels with custom made carbon fiber ones that make the car look like a 68 charger on the outside but is modern challenger on the inside I did use a modern challenger lower air dam and modern challenger headlight buckets I replicated their electric blue pearl paint by putting a base coat of aluminum first then spraying Tamiya ts-54 light metallic blue over it eXoMod is a custom car maker that is in the town I live in they have had their c68 carbon chargers at car shows and events from good guys to sema2023 to even having one of their cars auctioned off at mecum auto auctions they currently are on the 3.0 version of the c68 they even have articles in car magazines they are currently finishing a new car a d69 carbon daytona which will look like a 69 charger daytona and have a 71 cuda that will have a aar hood and a d71 carbon demon which will look like the 71 dodge demon i have a song from 68 playing in the background of the video

I painted this model to look like a ww2 fighter plane it was a last minute to decide to add the hogan's heroes name plates to the rear quarter panels this is an amt/ertl 67 chevelle rebuilder I had it was missing the original rims and tires and exhaust system so i made custom side mounted exhaust pipes and the chrome insets for the hood it was also missing the air cleaner and the back end so I found a new back end that fit in my parts boxes and took a air cleaner from a revell 66 impala I used a custom hood scoop that came with the new mpc 68 coronet convertible kit and a rear trunk wing and rims and tires from my parts boxes the body is painted Tamiya ts-28 olive drab 2 I used a cover of the hogan’s heroes theme by bob crane featuring voice over by col hogan and sgt Shultz to play in the background of the video

this is a replica of bebe rexha's 70 ford Ranchero squire seen on the cover picture for the single of her song heart wants what it wants I tried to mimic the cover picture including making a bebe rexha figure I hand drew and colored the bebe rexha name plate that was on top of the cover picture and glued it to a piece of white foam board I made the Ranchero via kitbashing the front half of a Revell 70 torino body I had and a rear half of a amt 65 El Camino body I got from a friend here on the forum Bucky I also got the interior pan I used for this build from the same friend I used a set of seats and a torino dash from my parts boxes the chassis and rims also came from parts boxes I hand painted the wood grain panels on the sides the body is painted Tamiya ts-28 olive drab 2 with a gloss clear coat over it I have bebe’s heart wants what it wants playing in the background of the video
