  1. Hi! I realize I did not include a front view pic. Here it is... CT
  2. Hi Mike! Thank you for the feedback. I know that the roll-out was supposed to be USA, then Canada. A friend who is relocating his hobby shop in a larger floor-space by this coming october (all is not down in this hobby, eh?) told me he already received the display rack and most products, but was saving this as a crowd puller for his opening night... So, I tought that US retailers had them by now. Michael's Canada ran a clearance sale on Testor's model paints, and I wonder if they will switch to Revell's? Any sign of that on your side of the border? Or at Hobby Lobby? CT
  3. Hi! Like some of you, I read Bob Downie's review in the "late" modeling magazine about Revell's new line of paint. But has anyone among you tried the spray clear (cans) in particular? How does it compare to Tamya's TS 13 or Testor's Wet Look clear in particular? Thanks for your input! CT
  4. Hi Kerry! Hope all is good at your end? Any updates? I'm hungry for more.... CT
  5. Hi Chris! Wow, quite a stunner. Bravo! A secretary had one on my street back then: same colour combo. She was fearfull of the maintenance on the vinyl top... but ended up having to clean the seat inserts much more frequently than the roof... Go figure! CT
  6. Thank you Kenneth. I'll take pride in your "one word". CT
  7. Thank you Christopher. I must admit »I had inspiration from a real 1/1 car, so, I can only pride myself in the execution, alas... CT
  8. Hi Richard! I know you have high expectations, so I take it as quite a compliment... Thanks! CT
  9. Merci Philippe, très apprécié! CT
  10. Hi Francis! Yes, indeed, I grafted the Ford C6 that comes with the Matt & Debbie Hayes 87 TBird. Just to stay all Ford. CT
  11. Thank you Scott! Truly, is-there anything that a Chryskler grille wouldn.t Improve? Well, maybe, if we think hard about it... CT
  12. Hi Chris! Thank you for the comment. Indeed, I replicated what many of us do with 1/1 rods to hide the flashers: put the bulb inside the bucket. In this case, just a dot of orange sharpie pen ink on the inside of the lens. But you have to be gentle with the canopy glue when mounting it, because the humidity of the glue sometimes dissolves the ink dot. Don't ask me how I know... Voilà! CT
  13. Hi Phil! Thank you so much. The truth is that the 49 is indeed a beautiful design. The hard part is to resist addind baubles to it. That's why I went for a very discreet colour combo, and even refrained from putting bumber or bumperettes in the back. Less is best, I think... CT
  14. Hi Francis! Thank you. What an eagle eye: the Boss 429 comes exactly from the Monogram 85 Iaconio TBird pro-stock. I have raided 3 of those kits over the years for various mash-ups. A treasure trove of parts, a premium kit. I buy any I can find, goes to say how I like them. And I can confess to the smooth underbelly penchant. And as for the green valves, what can I say? Besides, rest assured: I see no reason for you being jealous, as fellow modelers on this forum can attest to. As I said before: you run marathons, I run sprints. But we both love our sport, don't we? Keep safe, and above all, keep whittling those magical parts! CT
  15. Hi David! Thank you. I forgot to indicate that the rear end was chromed with Alclad, as the roll-bar and power amp. BMF aplenty too! Hours of fun... CT
  16. Hi Alan! Thank you so much. And you are right that getting it assembled in the end, with a sequence of events to minimize scratches or dents or mis-alignement was a test of my patience... CT
  17. Hi Chris! Thanks for the compliments. The door panels are made of 8 or 9 interlocking pieces. Lotsa sanding to get the joints "seamless". The pan is the one that came with the Iaconio TBird pro-stock engine, as is the carb. But I changed the manifold from a twin-carb hi-rise to a single-carb "street" manifold. CT
  18. Hi Lee! Great execution, bravo! The doors are much more practical than on the show car. Further, back then, people were more "slim" than today, so twisting to get aboard would not have been a big price to pay to drive such a unique ride... CT
  19. Hi Gareth! Nice built, in a striking and rare colour combo. Bravo! May-I ask what is the curious bottle-shaped accessory over the console? Just curious... CT
  20. Hi Nigel! You bet. It IS on my bucket list. But these days, I'm building 1/1 Pro-Touring cars for customers, so, my garage is full. A few years down the line, maybe.. CT
  21. Thank you Craig! CT Thanks Larry! CT
  22. Thank you Ray! But, you kinda put some pressure on me, you know... CR
  23. Thank you Gareth! It was a long and stenous built... One of the most detailed I undertook. The whole car was designed in "sub-assemblies", so that mounting and dismounting it countless times would be fairly easy, and not mar the finishes at the end. I stopped counting hours at some point, 'cause my wife was threatening to call the paramedics... CT
