  1. Thanks Marty! It's alway funny to see how we react to a design thats known by everybody, but revisited for a styling exercise. Watching the spectators reactions is priceless... CT
  2. Hi Bob! Thanks for the comments. I had problems yesterday uploading the pictures at my end. Here are a few more. Hope it works,,, CT
  3. Hi David! You are right... If Dodge was to put such a contraption on a turntable at a big show... their PR staff would definitely call it a "Lifestyle" vehicle. Go figure... CT
  4. Hi Jeff! Thanks for the comments. Well, actually, I build in marathons, usually 4 very detailed cars at once. I can alternate between projects when fuel is low, or some chemical has to cure. My problem, as you can tell, is that I'm not very good at photography, so I procrastinate when the time comes for a mass photo session... So, you end up thinking that I build at a rapid pace, while it is just the effect of posting numerous project on this forum in a relatively short period... Stay tuned: more strange things to come soon! CT
  5. Hi Tom! Thanks for the comments. It is indeed tricky to shorten, because the sides have blisters and crowns that force precise cuts in order to avoid loooooong hours with filling/sanding. CT
  6. Hi! Just a styling exercise with the Lindberg snap kit Caravan, shortened, lowered, roof made removable. Lotsa scratchbuilt. Maisto rolling stock, Nail polish finish. Life is short... might as well play with some styrene... CT
  7. Hi Sir! Please do! That combo must be visually interesting. I know that Revell tried a distorted 33 Ford Coupe body to adapt to the much shorter T chassis from Buttera's rod. Some used it to create altered style drag cars. Who knows... Hope to see it completed! CT
  8. Hi David! Thank you, but... experience showed me that sometimes, loooooong hours at the bench can make up for average skills. I built real rods for a living, so that may help,,, CT
  9. Thank you Sir! However, I mislead you... That car is a THAMES, not a Willys. Same plan however. I guess I should call for a supply of this "Prevagen" they advertise on cable TV to prevent memory loss? Might help... CT
  10. Hi Steve! Sweet! A motor with "presence" you say? That's the understatement of the year, but fine with me! Bravo! CT
  11. Hi Sir! Thanks for the comments. Much appreciated. I, also, am not very found of mile-high gasser. Today, I bought the Willys Panel (Simple Simon) gasser, BUT, I will do a low slung tightly packed street rod with it. It's a kit I built as a 10 years old back then. Nostalgia maybe, but... with a 21st century twist. CT
  12. Thank you for the infos, Joakim! CT
  13. Thank you Oliver! Rear seat and waterfall by Foose, door panels by yours truly! CT
  14. Hi! Since we are on the subject of shoehorning Viper V10 in smaller Mopars... CT
  15. Hi Kurt! That's what I meant by "surface rust". Such a "pristine" model A just doesn't exist here in salt land... It would look like lace at the bottom of the quarter panel and cowl. That gives sense to the expression "fair body retrieved from the desert" that we read so much about in Hot Rod Magazine during the 60's. Just a fantasy in my neck of the wood. CT
  16. Hi Joakim! Fantastic build! I love the colour combo. And the rolling stock is perfect. Is-it from Revell's Acura? Just curious... CT
  17. Hi Paul! Thank you. Good to hear from you. Hope all is OK for you, Bella, your Dad and the rest of the family. I know California is going trough a lot these days... At our end, the pandemy is much under control. Mask wearing indoors is mandatory, has been for about a month. Might be related... CT
  18. Thank you Jim! It was featured on this forum about 18 months ago. You may be able to search and find it... Unless the recent re-shuffle of categories got it lost in the ether? I think I listed it under "drag racing cars", or "other racers"... Can't remember. Getting older by the day, alas... CT
  19. Hi Nigel! The Charger has a fairly spacious engine compartment. The usual problem is that the K-Member/steering linkage interferes with the oil pan. Other than that, not much of an event... CT
