  1. On the original kit, ( as per the plans on scalemates; https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/4/9/8/949498-29-instructions.pdf ) it also included the "stock" parts for the regular W-925. It would be nice if those "stock" parts were also included this time. But I wonder; did the Alaskan Hauler parts unique to it were on a separate sprue? (ie, hood, fenders, transmission, ect)
  2. Hoorah!! Cheers! I want one! Maybe 2. There is now not much that haven't been reissued in the AMT "archives" of heavy trucks; Chevrolet Titan COE (GMC Astro-95 with a new grill and nameplates) Chevrolet Bison conventional (GMC General conventional, with a new grill and nameplates) Kenworth T-600 and Canepa version Then there is the ERTL "archive" Internationals: F-4270, F-2575, F-2674. There is also the John-Deere backhoe loader, last available around 2000.
  3. As far as I know, the 1978 "base models" broncos & trucks had the round headlights, but the "up-levels(?)" had the square headlights. All the 1979 broncos & trucks had the square headlights.
  4. Another possibility; AMT's 1936 Plymouth early-modified dirt track racer. Too bad it cannot be built as a "street-rod". Here is a review of it on youtube:
  5. The issue I am referring is Scale Auto, April 2016, page 59.
  6. I was browsing through an old ScaleAuto magazine, and there was a short review of AMT's 1968 Impala, WHICH CANNOT BE BUILT STOCK..... And I also remember a discussion here on this forum about the favorite years for a reissue of an Impala...... So my guess is now the AMT 1968 Impala. ?
  7. FANTASTIC decal sheet! But it is missing the air-intake decals for the 351-2v (that could be created using the 400-(2v) decal.) Also missing the 300-1v decals. Very minor requests, I know.
  8. Any news about: AMT-1363 Plymouth Roadrunner "customizing car" ? I am very curious about it!
  9. "Will be cloned" so tools were lost or modified. "Cannot be build stock" I'd say it could be one of these: (my money is no longer on the 1968-9 Impala or 1971 Dodge Demon) MPC Mako-Shark II Corvette Last issued as the "Custom Corvette" in the late 1980s. Need a few minor body corrections(?), new wheels and a few parts to get back to original. MPC Costa-Ray Corvette Never reissued as far as I know. AMT Matador AMT/X Only issued in 1977. Body and a few parts need to be converted from the NASCAR edition. MPC 1978 Ford Pinto Pro-Stock BOB GLIDDEN Never issued, but MPC did the 1978 Pinto stock, and the 1974-76 Pintos pro-stocks. Or re-do those 74-76 pro-stock Pintos. MPC Mopar MIssile Duster pro-stock MPC Motown Missile 'Cuda pro-stock "AMT" 1971 Maverick/Comet "pro-stock" They were made from Jo-Han tools. But very highly improbable. But what IF? Nawwww........ But...... MPC "The Grand Superfly" 1972 Pontiac Grand-Prix. Last available around 1975. I am sure there is other worthy kits besides those. My "money" is now on either the custom Corvettes or the Pro-Stocks.
  10. I'd be DELIGHTED if it would be a MPC Pro-Stock Pinto (with stock building option please!), but my "money" is still on either the 1968-9 Chevy Impala or 1971 Dodge Demon.
  11. Non-stock vinltage kit..... I'd say MPC Mako-Shark II, last available as "Custom Corvette" in the mid to late 1980s, returned to original status. Or the MPC Cosma-Ray Corvette. Or MPC "Superfly" Pontiac Or AMT Matador AMT/X, last available around 1977. What else?
  12. quote: For those who think the regular car and truck kit team missed out because of this, there's still one more announcement coming soon of a cloned vintage kit project, we just got the first round mockups for it last week. We've been trying to get it done for 2022 but I'd say early 2023 is more likely. It has to stay under wraps for now but there's clues out there. -Steve end quote. My personal guess for that new-cloned kit is.... MPC 1968-9 Impala! Other possibilities: AMT 1960 Ford F-100 pickup AMT 1961-63 Ford F-100 unibody pickup MPC 1978 Pontiac Ventura MPC 1972 Pontiac Grand-Prix MPC 1972 Mercury Montego But this is getting way off-topic! Maybe we should start a new topic just for this. ?
  13. On the amphicat, please, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! make the 4 "banana-splits" decals available! That would make me buy FOUR of those kits right there and then!
  14. PLEASE, oh so PLEASE make that the old MPC kit!!! Drats; its got hte AMT logo....
  15. What about the 1970 GTO from the movie "Two-Lane Blacktop"? MPC "re-did"(?) the 1970 GTO in the 1990s from their 1972 GTO molds (I think), and then re-re-modified it back into the current 1972 GTO, as I recall. It should aslo be "easy" to do the 1955 Chevy from that movie; they already have the stock '55 BelAir.
  16. What other movie car? What about a 1975 Mercury Marquis, from Hawaii 5-0? What else?
  17. Could it be that the "all new" movie car will be a proper 1977 Dodge van "Cannonball Run"?
  18. Where is the Garwood? Where is the Garwood? I want my Garwood!
  19. I wonder what happened to the molds of the 1/32 scale car kits by Lindberg; there was some quite fascinating kits available, if somewhat crude: A good list of them: http://www.plastickits.nl/Invoegen/lindberginsert.htm
  20. Very interesting "potential news" at 21:30.
  21. -With RUBBER tires? Wooo-hooo!
  22. Here is a GOOD site about old car magazines (and kits too!) But it is only about their covers and oftentimes their "index" http://99wspeedshop.com.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/rodcustom.html
  23. What are the news about Galaxie Ltd? I've read that they were planning to do a '46-'48 Chevrolet convertible. That was well over a year ago.
  24. Will Moebius reissue this little gem? 'Cause I want two of them.
  25. Yes, true; I "missed" the 1/24; I was thinking the 1/25 AMT White Wester Star, not the Italeri one. I was getting too excited by those reissues news! ?
