So my Silverado will not be making it this year either and i know that alrady since i want to do a tribute build for the late legend Ken block! But i might enter the Block build here if thats okay with every one, its also in a Instagram buildoff for Ken Block. -

1973' Chevrolet El Camino

I think, hard to see in that picture, that it’s mounted to a bracket coming down from the rear axle. As mentioned earlier, the backing shield of the brakes are flimsy and would not withstand such forces ? -

Cool, typical JDM. ? On a nova you probably could fit it behind the grill since there is space. -
So.. I scraped all my work that I had done for engine placement and frame work in the frot of the truck.. Why you might say…?? remember this truck used to have a NA intake that took up the majority of the width of the truck. With the turbo and other intake that did not make any sense to me.. With the stock firewall, that I used for some reason, the engine went far forward because the shape limited the space around the cylinder heads And it also created a ton of problems with exhaust pipes. Well no more. Back to the engineering phase! let’s se how the reconstruction goes? a small comparison C5R vs my C5R ? it’s so small in there! ?

Nice progress! and that interior will look Great! regarding the door, i guess you would line up the interior door panel to the side glass in line with the B-pillar. As i remember from my 77 chevy the overlap of the outer door skin is quite huge in comparison to the pillar. a quick google gave this picture of the cady door. So i guess outer and inner should not line up 100%.- 220 replies

And then you take a truck cab with a huge transmission tunnel and realize ther is no space ?glad I could have the auxiliary tanks extended in the “original” C5R place -

Thats a realy nice build! Like it allot! I would need a bunch of those tires for the ideas in my head ;D -
It’s allot more work and som of the fun goes out of the door for me at least when a kit is bad. But hey! The skill you possess will make you push through it!

Made some minor progress and allot of planing went on to night. I wanted to finish the front tubular section but I needed to craft a intercooler to work in conjunction with the rest. and since I have more or less decided to have the radiator in the back of the truck tit can use a big part of the available space, might be a bit large but it fills the grill. At least a set of brackets was glued to the tubular bracing. The inspiration for that huge IC, but mine is even bigger.. : I was also reading up on airflow in truck beds and it is as I remember airflow is limited so I might need to try to pull air from the wheels to the radiators.. as it would matter on a static plastic thingy but I kind of like the idea of mailing it plausible. What’s your thoughts on placement on radiators? One in the middle or two on each side?
