  1. My mess up with the clear was not skin deep so I have to strip it and that’s the worst thing I know.. so I started an other 1500… might try to throw the original 1500 body in some brake fluid to morrow and se if it comes off. But it was fun to build some thing else for a bit.. will see which 1500 that will cross the start. started today and had a great go on an awesome kit!
  2. I will need to strip the paint since it’s damaged down below the clear. Have not done that the past 10 years… so I…started an other 1500 today.. chassis is glued and primed, clear to morrow.
  3. Beautiful work there!
  4. Beautiful build my friend! It’s a great kit, have it started here in the forum and in the boxes. And since you mentioned the Tamiya kit, this is much more accurate since the Tamiya kit have a to tall roof in my eyes. Again great work.
  5. Came Out incredibly well! The design is intriguing and very new to such a classic design great work! And as mentioned, that display is some thing on its own!

  9. So yesterday I shot clear over my Tamiya black. It was a generic brand acrylic clear and on the hood and a little bit on the roof it looked like the paint cracked. I polished the hood but the damage was severe so it burnt throug in several places. It also looks dull, did I go through the clear? What is the best/ easiest way to go forward, except for the burn through. Does it seem like the clear is gone and I am trying to polish the paint since I can’t get no shine or depth back? shall I touch up the black and re clear? I can still see some damages from the other clear. And btw I am almost out of paint, can probably get some to the AB but the gas in the can is gone.

  11. Thanks for this great tip m8! It saved my 454SS but I messed up again, will see if I managed to buff it out.. or do some one have a good idea of what to do?
  12. Sweet, yes it’s definitely fragile. It went to the floor and the center rib broke of to never be seen again.
  13. Made a stupid mistake.. I was looking for my Tamiya clear but could not find it.. so I took a generic brand clear and sprayed it. Turned out ok in most places but the hood and roof looks strange.. I hope it buffs out since I am out of the black paint. Ideas? I could not resist starting the detailing of the grill and got started on the lights but had an acident with the grill, except for my painting, can you spot the problem? And just to show the Swedish Norrlänings stuk. We in the North like our extra high beams.. so they are going behind the grill so when it gets dark the High Lighters can be turned on and leave al the other cars to see bad, but these guys keep on going flat out! the paint problem..

  15. Managed to retouch the damages I made and started looking for clear.. but I was all out of Tamiya! So I had a acrylic clear over Tamiya black.. will see if it works out. Should be ok, might have been worse the other way around. Keeps my fingers crossed that it turned out good!
  16. Such a cool build! Love the stance and the body kit!
  17. Nice to se in the vid their reinforcement, probably due to the reason mentioned above, don’t attempt at home except if you reinforce! I am glad the ranger came back to the US, first after that the Ranger started to look good. It’s the only Ford truck sold here in Sweden, except for side import, and they had a lot of problems with their diesel Engine for a long while, hopefully sorted now, but today almost only the ones really needing that sort of work truck buy them since the government is really trying to reduce the sales with extreme taxes on all non electric cars and based on weigh and emissions all trucks get stupidly high taxes. A ranger or for example Gladiator 3.0l D have around 2000usd in tax per year where my hybrid (8l/100Km) have 38usd in tax.
  18. That tips on the paint repair seems to be working. ? Had to get the filters painted and tested. Seems that I have to extend the piping a little bit so I don’t hit the alternator.
  19. Great! You give it Whatsapp it deserves!
  20. Nice looking build!
  21. Great build and congratulations on the award!!
  22. Sweet! Will be following!
  23. I have only had some random time to put in to the hobby lately. So paint haven’t been adressed yet. Will see if I get around to that during the weekend or if I will be working my daytime job most of it. managed to install the fuel cell and the fuel line that goes to the top mounted pump. Will se if I will ad a filler in the mid of the bed. I have also started looking at the shock issue.
