Johan ‘70 Cadillac ElDorado pro touring (low and aggressive)
Mattilacken replied to Steve H's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Sweet project! Perfect with a nascar chassi! They are easy to narrow for wider tires as well as you have seen in my Impala thread. I have made brackets that you can print for the rear end if you want to get rid of the truck arms. I could probably help with a set of valvecovers if needed. If you know what “foot print” in mm you need I can modify a set that I have made, Gm performance cast aluminum valve covers, and make them as you like with the caddy text. do you have some one that can help you print stuff?- 220 replies

Thanks guys!

Thanks! I think I should try cutting the Chevelle body as such! It’s easy in plastic and would be a pita irl! thanks! As mentioned I am thinking that I should make the window like that on the Chevelle. I draw with pencil in the cottage but when I where in Brazil for the holidays o tried out the iPad tools , worked nicely!

I built this while in college? I was 16 years old and used this as practice for my Supra build, which is not finished yet ? first time doing body mods and I only had putty and sanding paper. The hood had an issue where the putty I used cracked due to movement. I brought this to a show back in 2004 or 2005 when it was finished, and it ended up in a magazine some how and was the only car featured from the show. As mentioned, wide body, re made front muscle buldge hood, supercharged engine, Tamiya wheels and beakes as well as seats with my first PE seatbelts. sadly this one does not live any longer, was damaged really bad in the cabinet acidente I had a while back.

Great that you are hanging in there and I hope everything turns out well for you! That’s a thoughtful gift! We have had similar gifts for some time, the 5 year old made Elsas’s ice castle this year and the son a Star Wars figure. So I get what you mean with Lego models! Glad you liked the danish gift!

A quick reminder of what I started with.. I think there have been some modifications along the road! And there would have been many much easier ways to do this!! But a corvette racer hidden in a Silverado body will end upe some thing like this! -
Cool! My favorite is the Craftsman truck ?

#2 Chevrolet Silverado C5R I made some progress on the chassi. The front bracing is started as well as radiator support. Also the back wall of the cab have been cut out of the body and engineered back to the chassi and the rear part of the pipe work have been started. Will ad a picture of that asap. -
Nice builds! Great job!
