Made som cad files will se how they turn out when @Ghost_33 print them for me. C1500 headlights: Chassi parts with nuts. Wheel with adjustable offset, Federal Tire mud terrain, and GMPP valve covers. Made in 1/16 scale for Revell's Baja chevy, need to make a grill for that one as well. And a converted and modifyed part from an other fabricator i belive at Grabcad.

Made some progress.. well not in plastic yet. But @Ghost_33 have made a STL of the files and will print it during next week. I could not imagine how to make a good looking headlight of the kit part.. so i went ahead and made a CAD file of clear lens headlights for the truck. Will se how the print turns out and how i will take care of the fine lines created by the printer so the chrome looks good. Here is the rendering of the modeled part. Also made some other pars while at it, always needed when doing custom builds and i made them so i could use a 0,5mm bras rod for securing them. I also have the nuts on the brackets so when puting the rod there it will look like its screwed ? The links are made to be glued together since i dont know the needed lengths ?

An other beautiful build! This paint is also stunning! Great work on this build!
-
Thanks! It’s a sweet deep dark gray, in many lights it almost looks black! Cool! I also used to have a ‘77 landau coupe, I shopped my front springs to get it to sit lower ?

An other beautifull build! Great work on these! want to get those decals!

Sweet build! That paint is really good! I would never have guessed that you Had masked the stripes! Great work!
-
Nothing fancy but my first painted stripes and anything little more advanced. Almost screwed them up due to a paint that acted up but I managed to save it. Not the smoothest paint but I did not dare to polish it more since I was afraid I did not have enough clear. Still liking it ?

Looks good!! -
That’s so cool! I have seen this boxart many times and I like it allot! Great work there! I guess the hardest thing about these kits is to get the lights to look good. Was thinking of doing the mod I saw a fellow member doing but I won’t have the time ? but hey might be possible to do a 3D printed lights option only problem then would be the glass. Thanks! I was watching one of those stepsides in a web store the other day. If I had some more founds at the moment I would have ordered I guess 10 kits from them.

So in 1987 Chevy introduced the New C1500 for the 1988 model year. Which suits this years CBR well. I am born in October of 1987 manny cool cars are around for that year and I started an other one first but lost interest. Was peeking around on 911’s Monte Carlos, Camaros and others.. and did not get stuck on it. Then I turned my eye to what trucks where available and found out that these was built in 1987! perfect so a 454 Ss it is, even though they where a later model. My build will be a LSX454 SS with a C5R intake and some mods as modern reinforced transmission, dual fuel tanks. Side exit exhaust and more. a line up of some trucks..

Post your truck mockups.

.. no mock-up ? -
Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Probably depend on the wing more than the car. But the car also have some thing classic about it with the mods you made. And classic cars of that era would not have a wing. If it would have been more aggressive in its aperance with more of a modern race touch it would have worked with the wing. Many even just with a wheel change. -
beautifull work! These kits are tough to build since its so much parts! great work
