I originally planned on a simple gold car, black top black scoop. A friend said it was going to be to boring so after looking at some funky photos I went for it. Was it to much? I intend on adding decals and making the full funk drag car of the 70’s

This is a hometown hero car from my childhood. The same owner has had the car since he was 14, and still drives it to this day, he is 72. The last pic is the original car owner and my build.

Thanks for the help but still not sure , I do believe the car in pic is faded and was probably more red in its early days
