  1. Nice build, what products did you use to make your decals
  2. Thanks so much, all input is well received, I did this just to see if it worked and I was very surprised at the results. Can’t wait to get an airbrush and really take my time on one. A quick question, after I start taping, how long do I have to apply tape, as in could it take all day to tape and then start painting the next day or could there be lift and leak waiting that long?
  3. So I am a long time drag race fan, but as of late have become fascinated with Lowrider paint panels and the resurgence of gasser paint jobs and 70’s street freaks. So I had a kit laying in the closet and gave it a shot. All of this is done using roth flake paint right out of a spray can. I laid the silver flake at night and did all the paint including clear the next day. I would love to try this with an airbrush, if anyone has a suggestion on a great setup to purchase I am willing to listen.
  4. I am just wondering are you cutting the curves out of the blue tape or was it a straight line and you created the curves
  5. That stance is spot on cool
  6. You really captured the perfect feel of racing in the 80,s
  7. i forget what the setup fee was as I ordered them a while ago but I just bought another set and they were $13
  8. Thanks everyone for the compliments, I did not pay $155 and the decals were made by bedlam creations from a picture.
  9. This is my first post as i have newly discovered modeling and this is my first build since 1980 and I was only 10 years old at that time. So be honest as i want to improve my skills but easy on me as I am so new to building model kits. My first attempt is a 1971 chevelle that I helped build, travel with and pit crew for many years. I literally grew up on the fender of this tribute replica of my uncles chevelle Unpredictable. I purchased the kit at a local model show and it was on, the hunt for the right scoop and decals to make this replica. I will let the process pics tell the story and I can’t wait to move on to my dads drag car for my next project. Hopefully with your input each one will get better. The kid with the blond hair... that’s me.
