  1. I got all the decals finished. I just need to paste the decals going on the white parts of the car on to a clear decal sheet and the decals for the purple parts of the car need to go on a white decal sheet. I will post pictures of the sheets when finished.
  2. Where did you purchase the Hudson model?

  11. Hopefully this is the last primer coat.
  12. Niko, I am going to make my own decals for the model but there is a sheet available for this car. I have seen them on internet searches for this car on google. I do not know how old they are and if they would be brittle. They are only 8 dollars so you would not be out much if they were.
  13. I layed down the first primer coat and the sanding guide coat and sanded it to prepare for the hopefully final primer coat.
  14. I used .010 X .060 styrene strips for the molding then added .025 styrene rod at the bottom edge of the strip to give the molding a more realistic look. I filled in the area where the two moldings meet with squadron white putty. I will make a customline decal to be placed in this area after it is bare metal foiled.
  15. I Need to add the customline trim so first I lay down some narrow tape and mark above the tape with a tinydrill bit. Then with the dividers I transfer the drill marks to the other side of the car I layed the first tape down below where I wanted the moldings. I then remove that tape and install new tape right on top of the drill marks on both sides of the car. I then use a #11 blade to scratch along the bottom edge of the tape on both sides to have a guide to show me where to glue the moldings.
  16. With this model I will try to depict the 1956 Southern 500 winner. Here is the kit and some reference and wip pics. I will have to remove the Victoria moldings and add Customline moldings to depict the real car.
  17. I wonder if Hobby Lobby will sell it? If so i will definitely get me one.
