  1. To quote the late Boyd Coddington: "Perfection IS possible. It just takes a bit longer to do...." You take another 5 months to finish it if needed. Beautiful job your doing. Absolutely beautiful.
  2. I realize art can't be rushed and Randy will work at HIS pace. I'm just giving him a subtle nudge... We can all start yelling later.
  3. OK Randy, it's time for a gentle nudge....... Any progress? A lot of people are waiting I bet.
  4. It's been a treat watching this go together. Almost sad to see it get finished.....
  5. Aside from the beautiful conversion work, it's the little things that also jump out. Look at the open hood picture. See the back of the dashboard and the speaker? And the backside of the speedometer & radio? The under dash cargo tray is a nice touch too. Awesome job...
  6. Wouldn't it be funny if John was just twisting everyone's tail by putting that 440-6 in the picture?
  7. I'm at a loss for words.... Spectacular workmanship. Thank you for chronicling the build and sharing it. That's 2 more jobs your doing beautifully besides building a show stopper.
  8. Cool build Luis. Just don't give in and make it too "weathered"... just nicely used should do it.
  9. I'm grateful to report we didn't get anything more than leaves on our property. No storm damage at all.... no flooding, power is on, and my ice is safe for my Scotch. I know some forum members didn't fair as well and I wish them a speedy & painless rebuild. I can't imagine loosing everything............. Hope everyone else is safe & sound.
  10. So sorry to hear of your loss. Hopefully your insurance company is co-operative and everything get's sorted out quickly....
  11. Hate to be the one, but I think Hot Rod Deluxe is much better at what it does as opposed to what I saw in that issue. For a first shot it was so-so in my opinion.... <sorry!>
  12. ######, that's got "the look". If you can get the final build as low as it is now you'll have a killer. NICE!
  13. My final preparation for the storm was a visit to our favorite Italian restaurant. The Wife had Chilean Sea Bass and I Sausage & Peppers w/ Linguini. And yes, she had Chardonnay, I had Johnny Red on ice. Now it can rain......
  14. Well, the media has everyone in a frenzy here in the NYC area.... They are already predicting how long the power will be out! Imagine that? It was sunny & 80 today and they know how long the power will be out next Sunday!!!! I swear, the news makes things so much worst. I put away all the loose stuff that might take flight, the `Cuda is under her cover in the garage, and I'll park my wife's car in our fenced-in yard tomorrow night so debris from the neighborhood will (hopefully...) stay off it. We have Dog & People food, water, batteries, Scotch, Wine, acoustic Bass, and a car charger for my i-Phone. I can BBQ in the garage and the VW has a full tank and cranking air conditioning. Let it rain....
  15. I saw it advertised in the latest Car Craft and was looking forward to getting it. Is this going to be a bi-monthly like Hot Rod Deluxe?
  16. I used to moderate on a Mopar web site. My skin is at LEAST 6" thick! I never get annoyed when someone teaches or explains something, especially when I'm wrong. No offense taken at all. Like I mentioned, I've seen so many Guys (...and Gals) with more money than common sense so I never gave it a second thought! When my Wife & I walked past it I told her not to breath on it, let alone touch. Real or not, it sure as Hell trumped my small block A body though....
  17. Yeah, I post there from time to time. In the same vein as my previous post, I've been shying away from the Mopar-specific sites. I have a hard enough time posting here....
  18. Wow...great production break-down! I was told (by several misinformed people, NOT the owner...) that it was legit. I've seen so many rare cars pop up at cruise nights that I never question it. I'm also not that versed on how many & what combinations were made. Thank you for delivering the facts.
  19. My mistake, the 5th. from last is the car I asked about. And if I'm not mistaken, the Catherham is a re-production of the Lotus 7. Either way, it still looks like a fun ride!
  20. So Cal beach area? I hate you..... I've been to San Diego (my favorite place besides Coronado...) & the L.A. area so I know exactly what you mean. LOTS of neat stuff in daily traffic. But to see these cars out in rush hour traffic is a very brave decision out here. VERY brave....
  21. Being surrounded by so many six-figure rarities is a humbling experience, but I built the best I could afford to without loosing my Wife, house, or job. Some guys go to extremes in pursuit of their toys. As much as I would have loved to drop in a Hemi and made it a S/S clone, I just couldn't afford the extra $12-15K + to get there. But a Hemi `Cuda rag top stick.... oooooooh! That's one to ponder..... Thanks for the compliments!
  22. I spotted this parked in someone's driveway between Brickerville and Stevens, Pa. It's a tandem 2 seater and had no visible markings, nor could I see what was in it power train wise. I was trespassing to get these shots! Anybody know what the Hell it is?!?
  23. How about having a Ferrari Maranello (I think...) and a Porsche GT pass you? This is like a million or so dollars cruising on the Southern State Parkway, which driving on is similar to qualifying at Darlington.
  24. I spotted this parked in someone's driveway.
  25. Every now and then someone drives a land-bound ballistic missile to the local speed shop.....
