  1. Interest? You have my undivided attention! Well, maybe divided between your Mopar & Randy's wrecker! Two of the hottest builds going on here.... Any updates are greatly appreciated. Thanks for posting your progress.
  2. How's the progress coming on that beautiful Mopar?
  3. Well, the Pro's & Con's of this post are amusing! I agree. Well chosen words and positive direction are always helpful. Especially if done through a private message and not on the forums. This prevents riots and hurt feelings. I moderated on a Mopar forum for a few years and believe me, more fires were started because you CAN'T type emotion into a post. More misunderstandings were started with a misworded post than I'd care to remember! When something is printed, there's no sense of intention. At least through a PM if there's a misunderstanding the entire forum isn't choosing sides....because of what someone might have meant. And that's my opinion. Bite me.... <ducking and running for cover....>
  4. Since were all taking a bite out of this one.... I totally agree with the starched-looking plug wires. Looks like cement re-bar bent into an approximate shape. I have similar sentiments on flat braided steel lines.... ...and by the way, MSD does Red w/ Gray boots....
  5. Let me guess.... you like trucks? The show was awesome... Thanks for posting your pictures!
  6. Great pix Mike... thanks for posting them! Show was great! Saw many old friends...saw many great builds.... and managed to spend a little money.... Great job (as usual....) by the Tri-State crew. Tom & company do a fantastic job every year.
  7. 57 Degrees and rain.... That's the bad news for tomorrow. The good news is it's NNL east, the greatest model show on Earth. Amy & me will be there re-connecting with old friends. I know I said it last year, but maybe NEXT year I'll have a chunk of shiny plastic to drop on the table. Look for us....
  8. I agree. I've seen that kit built a million ways too. Just goes to show a million and one can be the freshest one. Nice job on that ancient kit. Looks awesome!
  9. Randy.... it's been a week since an update. We're waiting.....
  10. Talent? I want this guy to lays his hands on me so I can be anointed with his special powers.
  11. Dude, anyone whom carves their own engine block is my Hero.. Awesome, accurate workmanship. That transmission looks fantastic! And the intake is looking good too. The fuel cell, spring relocation, Dana, everything looks dead on. Looking forward to seeing this completed. Thanks for sharing!!
  12. ######.... you can build a nice model! These Bonneville's your posting are beautiful!
  13. Marcos, you did a helluva good job too! How much was your total loss?
  14. Thanks Marcos. Yeah, it was work, but I feel SO MUCH better now. Plus I quit smoking. I do enjoy a glass of some good single malt scotch once in a while, but that's the extent of bad stuff. I'm convinced I would have died if I didn't do SOMETHING positive. I went from my heaviest of 340lbs. to 199 at one point. My body has settled in at 207 as a comfortable weight. With the spring/summer coming I'll probably drop a few pounds once I get out more often. I also have a huge puppy that enjoys playing and walking. He's going to be good exercise for us too.
  15. Me in the mid-90's @ 340lbs. Me recently.... There's about 130lbs. between the pictures.... It didn't come off overnight, but then again it didn't go on overnight either. I followed basic nutrition guidelines and exercise. Weightwatchers is a good method teach you what & how much to eat. I would set 25lb. goals and as I got closer to my target weight I would drop my goals to 10lb. increments. The more you loose, the harder it gets. But if you stay focused it CAN be done. But once you do get there, that's when it get's REALLY hard to be good. Can't be "rewarding" yourself with everything you stayed away from. For me my reward was marrying a cute gal whom would have never given me a second look when I was huge. And people DO discriminate against the obese....
  16. Bill, you look fantastic! Congratulations on getting back on track. BTW: Coming to NNL East next month? Amy & me miss you....
  17. Here's me with my Wife and my Mistress.....
  18. Your giving me flash-backs to my youth reading How To articles in Model Car Science or Car Model. Don Emmons, Jim Keeler, or Dennis Doty couldn't have taught any better. Amazing workmanship. And to mimic everyone else, keep up the inspirational work. Thank you for sharing!
  19. Me and my wife got a good laugh at that parody. Especially since I'm not a facebook person.
  20. I'm guilty of obeying that impulse. I swore I would never drop big coin on a model kit. Silly... No need to. Then I spotted this for sale a few years ago: Being a Mopar owner & enthusiast as a modeler I had to have it. My "Holy Grail" if you will. Cost? Does it really matter?
  21. ........... first time? Dude, you rock! Great first time effort! I'll definitely be looking forward to more of your work. Awesome...absolutely awesome.

    69 Nova

I was watching a re-broadcast of the Mecum auction from Kissimimee last night on HD Theater and THAT CAR was sold. A 427 Yenko clone. Black with a 4 speed. Stunning. And if I remember correctly, it sold for less than $30K, which is peanuts for what you got. Sorry to hear about yours.... that sucks.
  23. That's the kind of smart-*ss answer I'd make! Good one....
  24. I stand corrected: I see there's the anti-freeze label on the radiator support and that indeed IS the emissions label. Then.... where's the fender tag?
