  1. I can see I’m gonna have to be on my toes with all you Bandits sitting around the snack table ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  2. I probably shouldn’t do this , but I guess I will put it out there ….. as Ron is doing with his Payhauler build his anti burn out build is a HH Pete …… as much as I LOVE Petes, my anti burnout build will be an early to mid ‘80’s Western Star Classic, with the small standard cab rather than the Constellation cab. The Classic was a very nice truck to drive with everything handy for comfortable operation. So as mine is going to be a heavy haul highway unit, it will be a departure away from stock kit parts, there will be some changes…. Starting with the engine choices ….. box stock Cummins, a Detroit 60 series, Cat 3406 or Cat C15 …front floats with 10 hole alcoa style rim, 2 hole Budd drive rims with deep grip rubber, possible heavy steel front bumper, front wheel fender flares, 3d scale brake chambers, a/m exhaust and tips, heavy 5th wheel, heavy 5th wheel slide and roller, possible extra tool box, an heavy headache rack. “Rubber” mud flaps…. And the biggest thought is a complete change of rear suspension…..… this truck will have a sleeper as it is a narrow one and looks cooler than those big 86 inch ones. The color is still ip in the air as I’m not sure what I have or what it should be……. There won’t be much to see for a little bit as there is some cleanup needed on the frame rails and then assemble. …. I have to decide on engine and suspension before I can really push ahead after the frame is done. I still have the Payhauler on the go as well …. So this will probably be a bit hit and miss for a bit or until it gets to me and I go full on ……as always any thoughts or ideas are welcome. I have a vision but it is the fine details that are a bit fuzzy at the moment …..
  3. Don’t you just LOVE “experts”???……….🙄
  4. This is so cool, I can see you doing another. And I bet some of the other guys pick up the torch too …….
  5. Some really sweet a/m there Pal. That CTM stuff is gorgeous.
  6. It is an old school low air warning device. An air valve mounted in the cab above the windshield with an arm and a paddle. Something like a at spoon. If there is low air the ‘spoon’ will drop down in front of the driver ( wagging back and forth ….. hence wig wag) warning of low air and to pull over asap and get it checked and repaired. Today here in Canada we are mandated with TWO low air warnings, a light on the dash, and an audible warning as well. Wig wags are out dated by todays standards and mandates. I always thought they worked well. Mechanical rather than electrical.
  7. Glad to participate in your thread
  8. Geez, I did more than I thought or have ever done
  9. Thats what I’m after is a good Pete. I saw a mod of an old school Kenworth that wud be super cool.
  10. Me too the wig wag was a good piece of kit. Its a Canadian military expression ‘piece of kit’. We used to say that about our gear, be it personal gear or equipment ….Sorry,…days of old kick in sometimes. I was talking 1:1 too
  11. Holy. Thats brave. Not sure I have the co-ordination for that. Lol I’m looking forward to giving this a go …
  12. They are a cool old piece of kit
  13. Thanks Brian, I am about to pull the trigger on a Thrustmaster T 300 RS GT wheel and pedals plus the TH8A shifter... I have to get the 18 speed handle yet tho.... that should get me started eh?
  14. and you guys are mostly operating windows 10?
  15. Thats what caught my eye, and I bet there aren’t many newer guys have NO idea what is or how it works 🤭🤣🤣
  16. Topher … that rotisserie is really cool. I have never seen that before. Is it something that is currently available and would it open up to put a big truck frame in? Watching your wrecker build with interest. …..
  17. Great thread. And all the guys commenting makes this a very interesting read. I always liked and wanted the wrecker, although that was never to happen …. I look forward to more of your reviews and the guys commenting. Lots of good useful information and interesting. Thanks for starting this one pal
  18. The other question I have is can you generate your own jobs like “free flight” in flight sim or do you have to go through the game jobs to get ahead ? Not that , thats a bad thing but I Do NOT want to be driving for some company in a Volvo truck ( not a fan ) I would like something more classic and is it hard to download and install new trucks. I saw an old school Kenworth that was super cool and would do that instead of a new Volvo. Or are we stuck with the included trucks until we can afford to buy one from ai jobs?
  19. Thanks, Brian, I appreciate the kind words...
  20. nice and clean, great S/A conversion.... good job !
