  1. Wow what an undertaking. Impressive work there Johnny. Was the leaf spring front axle setup on the original Kit?
  2. A lot of great lengthy replies. For me, I'll simply say, I start every model with intentions of making the best model I can but so far always fall short of even near perfection.
  3. I bought the foam board at Doller Tree. Made mine like "SCRWDRVR " did. Very simple to make and works just fine. Only used one board. Sure glad I looked at this thread.
  4. Kinda have a soft spot for the 914. I bought a used 914-4 many years ago in my stupid car buying days that wound up with a totally rotted out floor pan. Was looking to buy a 914-6 and I looked at one for sale. On the test drive he let it all out, went around a circular on ramp at a super high rate of speed with me hanging on for dear life but that little car stuck to the road like glue.
  5. Joe, I just happened to see that photo-etch shifter......Good lord, I don't know how anyone can have the patience to do that!!
  6. The Chevelle is really cool. I also love the collection of cars in the picture. ??
  7. I had to do a double-take on that black dump truck, thought it was real LOL.
  8. Your detail and paint work are awesome. Very imoressive??
  9. Yep Joe, looks great.!! I'm glad you mentioned about the lowered stance. I'm finishing up the 67 Corvette convertable model and I think the stance is too high on it but it's too finished to change. Oh well.
  10. Gonna try to get some material today on my once a week shopping trip.
  11. Great looking; 1/8 scale. How big is it??
  12. Thanks Greg, I've seen them made with solder, anyone out there know how to or a source to show how?
  13. I really like that idea. Can you give me an idea of the dimensions? Was thinking too, could put some kind of road or checkered material on the bottom. Could be made removable for different patterns or just white.
  14. Simply incredible paint jobs on both cars. I'm so envious. Beautiful work guys.
  15. Thanks Joe, I'll check it out.
  16. This is my car that I'm gonna replicate. Joe, am I to understand that the muffler on the model has a single outlet?
  17. Hi Joe. Last night I was the winner of the kit on ebay auction. Thanks for giving me the advice to find one. I only hope I can do as awesome a job you're doing on yours.
  18. Beeeee-utiful!!? You've done us Trans Am owners proud.
  19. $10.29 on Amazon. What's the largest it will open?
  20. Very Nice Job of an interesting car that I once owned (in black with red interior).
  21. As a lover of '57s as well and owner of 1 a loooooong time ago (plus my Dad had 2 that I drove) thats a cool retro build. Very nice.
  22. This is the old Monogram 1/24 kit I built a few years ago.
