  1. Nice. Looks like a decommissioned U.S Army car, if in-fact that is green not black, cant quite tell. I bought this same kit myself just yesterday. What was it like to work with? Any fit issues?
  2. I put across that idea a couple of weeks ago "specific builds" but me not being very good at explaining things in writing I think people thought I meant a thread for every build and was recommended I use the search bar when looking for specific models. What MRM has done, and what you suggested, is exactly what I was trying to explain, it's a great idea I think. One area where you can post builds of a particular car.
  3. In the movie "Christine" there is a white 2dr Cortina in Darnell's that gets rammed by Christine during the dozer scene.
  4. That's one clean looking build, the painted flames are flawless!
  5. ah, I didn't know that, it makes sense now. Thinking back to when the movie was shown again here around the early 2000's on digital TV, the part with the school bus was cut out, I thought it was the broadcaster being over PC.
  6. Internet Archive is a great place. Did they cut out the start of that movie when it was aired on TV? I recorded that film in the 80's on VHS, I still have it, and the beginning starts off with him backing out of his driveway as he's listening to the radio, it slowly progresses through the city then to where I see it start on the upload in the link.
  7. The Mrs calls it "grounds for divorce proceedings"! xD
  8. wow, stunning build! show quality right there. My dads first car was the Anglia, it didn't quite look like this though, haha. Very nice.
  9. Beautiful looking build, that colour really pops.
  10. Lovely looking build. Very nice detail, the plug wiring looks great.
  11. Nice work. I like the diorama, "What on earth do we do with this?" haha,
  12. Yes, I've seen a few different colours they came in, one I would really like to do is the 40's DeSoto in yellow with red wings/fenders but not sure if such a kit exists. The next best thing I'd use would be a '48 Ford and mod it to make a four door.
  13. Thanks, guys. Yeah, I got a chuckle out of that huge powerhouse in a cab, xD. I was close to making dents in it but I was afraid I'd ruin it, so I just brushed some blackwash over it to give it some grime.
  14. Great stuff. The '61 Impala I did was also by Lindberg and that was a great kit to build. I'll have to seek out more Lindberg stuff:)
  15. Not my favourite but one of my top movies is a film made in and around my own town in Wales called Twin Town. If you like dark humour you'll love it.
  16. Bah, Kobe beef is overrated, half the time it's not even the real thing. You don't know beef until you've tried Welsh beef. If you tasted a beef burger made of Welsh beef £50 would seem like a bargain! xD BEEF!
  17. My dad had one of those mk3 Cortinas, that too was a 1970 model on a J plate. It was red with a black vinyl roof. I think his was a 1.6 though.
  18. Thanks, Tom, Larry:)
  19. Thanks, Bill. I've seen a couple of the convertibles done, really nice looking kits and one I intend doing soon.
  20. Thank you, kind sir:) So far I've built the '61, '64 and the '67 Impala and all so far have been great little kits. The Impalas are some of the best looking cars of the 60's.
  21. Nice. I've been looking at pictures of them and I'd like to do the '62 Dyno Don one day. I haven't built a '62 yet.
  22. Lovely colour. I like the shadowing in the interior, very nice build.
  23. Now that's a show winner. Beautiful build, very aggressive looking. I like it.
  24. Man, that looks nice. Good job on replacing the missing parts, very nicely detailed engine and nice work on the pinstripe.
  25. I can't really pinpoint a favourite movie, I've seen so many good ones in my time, but when I'm asked what is my favourite, the first film that pops into my head is usually The Shawshank Redemption.
