    That's pretty cool! I'd rather have Clarkson's Bentley which made a couple appearances on the most excellent Clarkson's Farm show.

    I will check my local Ollie's next week while I'm out running errands. They certainly have been surprising us lately. I fully expect the scalpers to hit Ollie's Night this evening and clean out whatever is on the shelves now.

    Seeing that Comet P-38 takes me back. I built one as a teenager and got it to fly pretty decent on rubber power. Haven't built stick & tissue in a while. Those old Comet kits built well and most of them flew well without too much adjustment.

    Now that the weather in Florida is starting to cool off a bit, a lot of the vintage iron is out & about. I was able to get pics of these today. Don't see many of those Lotus Elan on the road down here.

    I've had my hand in a few 1:1 squarecab Ford restos(& owned 2 myself) and every one I've ever seen had the white paint over a chrome panel. An NOS example a friend had years ago was the same way. Below is a photo of my unrestored '59 F-350 that I bought in 1997. Aside from the silver stripe on the dash, the rest of the dash is original paint, including the gauge bezel.

    I'm really surprised the Civil War Cannon hasn't resurfaced LOL. Not sure if it's company wide but I got this email about Ollie's night. Toys(and kits) are 25% off between 6-10pm on Sunday. I won't be able to make it due to other plans, but figured I'd get the word out in case y'alls local store is doing the same thing.

    The gauge panel has been painted wrong in that truck. Originally it was off white with chrome stars(unless it was a big truck then the tach, etc went here) and gauge rings were chrome as was the perimeter of the piece. Not a big deal, but it sure cheapens the look the dash!

    Merritt Island, FL Ollie's had the Monogram kits out this morning. No joy on the AMT '70 Galaxie taxi tho.

    Splurged the $5 and got this ex Entex/Gakken now Minicraft 1/16 Jaguar kit from a local thrift store. Appears to be complete even with good decals.

    Saw this in Ollie's parking lot. Later on I ran across another 5 or 6 of the same type while out doing my Saturday morning errands.

    Merritt Island, FL Ollie's had no new kits. Not a wasted trip, snagged a couple 1/64 cars & some snacks. LOL

    Stopped by the infamous Hobby Lobby for some brushes and picked these up.

    It's back to working normally for me now on Chrome and Edge. I'm able to leave likes and switch pages now. It is much appreciated!

    The seats are 56-57 & I think the door panels are too. I built one of these kits and wasn't at all impressed by it. But I've spent 25 years restoring 1:1 C1 & C2 Corvettes for a living so my view is skewed! The old Revell '59 multi piece body kit is miles ahead of this kit IMO.

    No change on my end. Can't leave likes or go to the next page unless I right click on the page icon and open in a new tab. I'm on Chrome primarily and it does the same thing on Edge. Clearing cache & cookies didn't help either.

    Nothing new at the Merritt Island, FL store. Seems like this round of kits is sitting on the shelves longer. Compare the top photo I took Wednesday and the bottom photo I took this morning. I remember when kits would get wiped out in hours, with people filling buggies up with kits. The two missing '62 Bel Air kits are now in my stash. LOL As an aside, has this thread now surpassed the infamous Hobby Lobby thread? "I hope Ollie's gets ____ kit!"

    Passed by Ollie's in my travels, nothing new but snagged these two. Figure these will make good weekender kits.

    I think this is more old stock. The dates on the kits I picked up are from 2021. It will be interesting to see if anything else gets trotted out before Christmas.

    Seems like every Ollie's I visit has stacks of the Mach 5. Are they the new version of the Civil War Cannon kits that would sit for months unsold? LOL

    Yep! A couple posts on the Ollie's thread prompted me to check out the local store. Sure enough there were some new kits!

    Hit the Merritt Island, FL Ollie's today. They had the '65 Fairlane & Chevy II gasser on the shelf and the rest of the kits mixed in with the toys on one of those movable display racks they like to use. I grabbed a few & left the others for the resellers!
