  1. Nice build, great to see these coming to "life".
  2. Glad to hear it. I enjoy researching new topics. Knowing it inspired someone makes it that much more satisfying.
  3. You've got me confused with another poster. I shared some media and information about them, but am not building one currently. One is definitely on my bucket list in the future.
  4. Had a couple more orioles at the feeders, and our first indigo bunting of the year. Spied a large snapping turtle crossing from the creek to the pond, and caught a decent garter snake.
  5. The Baltimore orioles (birds) are back for the season. Already hammering the jelly feeders. And I found a nice large garter snake in the yard while trimming the weeds.
  6. Looking forward to how this build progresses. Really happy to hear AFV is sending you the new parts, hopefully they fix their instructions.
  7. Very nice. Red with the tan interior is a classic look on those T/A's.
  8. That is an awesome build. Love the subject matter, love the execution.
  9. Sweet build, would never guess you had issues assembling it.
  10. That's my dad's favorite fighter jet. Really cool looking aircraft.
  11. Picked this up a couple months ago. Runs fine, just needed some rust "stabilization". Stripped and painted the wheels, racks and front bumper. Rewired the head and tail lights. Test drive after work today.
  12. That is looking very nice. Very well made.
  13. This looks sweet. I will definitely be following.
  14. Nothing spectacular this weekend. But its that time of year here in WI, race season at Road America has started. I live on one of the main routes to the track, so quite often get to see quite a variety of sporty cars flying down the highway.
  15. I'd go up and over. Thinking in the real world, down through the headers would burn those wires up I believe. If you could loom them to run back along the bottom of the valve cover, then up to the cap, that might look more organized.
  16. My agricultural engineering worked. Removing the tires to refinish the wheels on an older ATV.
  17. I also have a Valkyrie kit from back in the day. Thinking of breaking it out soon. Just need to decide what "mode" to build it in. I don't think I want to trust 30 year old rubber bands to hold things together.
  18. Rear window louvers. A whole lot of them on 80s F-Bodies and Mustangs. Don't see them much any more, I always liked them.
  19. He also played Madmartigan (sp?) in Willow.
  20. Yep, started with that, wire wheeled the exposed part of the screw, and still managed to strip the head out on the screw. Vice grips worked in one application. Can't get them on the 2nd spot, going to have to cutting wheel or sawzall that one. Have to be careful with heat, lots of plastic parts close by.
  21. Button head screws and nylon lock nuts do NOT like to come apart after 30 years of Wisconsin weather (and road salt). Its a good thing I am working on this project because I want to , and not trying to make money.
  22. Paint looks great. I really like that color.
  23. Yep, getting those from the IL toll roads. I travel them once a year, and pay them right away.
  24. I got that exact same email three days ago. These people should be publicly drawn and quartered.
  25. Pretty much the same here in eastern WI. We had a very warm Tuesday, then an inch and a half of rain at 37 degrees yesterday and 2-4 inches of windblown heavy, wet snow last night. 45 mph winds have turned the snow into ice drifts now.
