  1. Great work. Quad 50's would sure make you keep your head down.
  2. We came through the storms last night with only losing power for 10 hours. No damage to the house or yard. Neighbors lost trees and one window. Tornadoes and 2 inch hail to the West of us.
  3. Nice clean work.
  4. That's a sweet looking ride, very nice!
  5. First model was a 1/72 scale F4F wildcat, about 1987 or 1988 (9 or 10 years old). First car was a 1/32 Ford Mustang from Young Model Builder's Club shortly after.
  6. Nature isn't Disney, that's for sure.
  7. What a crazy little build. With that short wheelbase, the wheelie bars are a must. And I bet it gets squirrely REALLY quick. Things could get western in a hurry.
  8. I am sure there was more than one chopped/sectioned/welded back together frame in the field under these trucks.
  9. That body and paint work is off the charts. Very, very impressive. Reminds me of Independence Chevelle from Vice Grip Garage.
  10. That's a cool looking conversion. Love the color scheme. Nice work.
  11. Hi and wow, what a great chassis. Can't wait to see progress on this.
  12. Nice work on this truck. Could you save the too long chassis by sectioning the frame rails and drive shaft where the ellipses are in this pic?
  13. While eating dinner last night, we watched a bald eagle land in one of the big oak trees on the ridge across our creek. With binoculars, you could see it had a rabbit in its talons. The crows dive bombed it for a few minutes, then left it alone. The eagle ate at the rabbit off and on for about 15 minutes, then flew off with what remained of the carcass. There are a half dozen lakes within 8 miles, and each have an eagle nest on them.
  14. Looks like the rats we get around the chickens and steer feeders.
  15. My sister was traumatized by the little hummingbirds as a very young girl. She had a Sunday dress on that had flowers on it, and dozens of hummingbirds were trying to "feed" from the flowers. She still doesn't like them 40 years later. They are amazing little creatures for sure.
  16. First hummingbird of the year. And the orchard orioles have appeared again.
  17. Nice build, great to see these coming to "life".
  18. Glad to hear it. I enjoy researching new topics. Knowing it inspired someone makes it that much more satisfying.
  19. You've got me confused with another poster. I shared some media and information about them, but am not building one currently. One is definitely on my bucket list in the future.
  20. Had a couple more orioles at the feeders, and our first indigo bunting of the year. Spied a large snapping turtle crossing from the creek to the pond, and caught a decent garter snake.
  21. The Baltimore orioles (birds) are back for the season. Already hammering the jelly feeders. And I found a nice large garter snake in the yard while trimming the weeds.
  22. Looking forward to how this build progresses. Really happy to hear AFV is sending you the new parts, hopefully they fix their instructions.
  23. Very nice. Red with the tan interior is a classic look on those T/A's.
