  1. I really dig #6 that fade paint is killer!
  2. Most excellent builds, love the chop on the 5 window!
  3. Live from the studio we have an update on last nights news report. A finish line is in sight! More in under glass soon.
  4. Nice variety Claude, gotta say I really dig the rivvy.
  5. Well done Craig, can’t wait to see what is in store for us viewers next!
  6. On todays episode of how long can Bil drag out a build thread: I attach some headlights. Time at the bench has been fruitful but also chaotic, lots of junk has arrived in the mail lately and I’ve been extremely distracted. But with days off and the silly season I expect to get a fair bit accomplished (says the guy chasing friggen bench squirrels everywhere). I did manage to get the interior pieces all trimmed and fitting but no pics were to be had at this hour. I’m sure the morning news team will have a byline or two about that. Reporting live from the GWN. Stay tuned for the weather at 11:00
  7. Impressive work on the Canadian conversion.
  8. Last box of the day, I know one member @junkyardjeff would probably love this box. and some cool old customs, I’m going to try to revive at least two of the little t hotrods!
  9. A friend was slimming down his collection of parts and he invited me over for first picks. Pretty stoked on some of this stuff. My next build will have some sweet details.
  10. That is one outstanding Interior. Would love to know how you achieved the look?
  11. Bob that’s a great question, one unfortunately I do not have a good answer for. They were in my parts box. Maybe one of our astute readers can answer that with this extreme closeup!
  12. Man, just the primer shot alone is just wow. ?
  13. Well the basic bones are there and it’s in rather remarkable shape for 60 years old. I’m very optimistic on the outcome.
  14. Spent some time addressing the decals and the horrible glue spots. I have to shoot a coat of primer to see the rest of the damage. Need to pick up a can from the lhs tomorrow.
  15. Well the parts box T is just about done. Just finishing up the cowl steering and digging for some appropriate headlights and tails as well. Next pics should be under glass. Thanks all for watching and commenting.
  16. Did a little horse trading with a friend today, he got those a part of a bulk deal and had zero interest in them, so I had some stuff more of his style so a deal was struck. I’m sure I will possibly end up trading the dart away.
  17. Well I’ve been watching these face book auctions for a while and every now and then I bid and win some old plastic. Well two weeks ago I bid on a fairly decent rivvy. It’s rough needs some love and a lot of parts but the base kit of body, interior and chassis is there. Now this will not be a restoration but a mild custom combining some styles from the 63 and 65. I have wanted to do this for a very long time and I may attempt a slight homage to the Silver arrow concept car. But first it will need some body work to cover the sins of the original builder, glue marks decals and a broken A pillar. I’ll need to find a donor for some of the items I want for my vision of this car. so far I’ve added some parts box hubcaps and white walls to try to capture the vision in my head to plastic on my bench. I’ll update this hopefully soon as I am off work til the middle of January now so I’ll have a fair bit of bench time.
  18. Well I’d say you did a lot better on yours than I did on mine haha. I will most likely end up making a custom from this one. But it’s a challenge and one of the grails I’ve wanted. Plus it will be a big change from what I usually build, I mean it has fenders and bumpers n stuff haha.
  19. And another box of rebuilder/parts/junk/glue bombs has arrived. A box of 34 ford rebuilder parts including my first Aurora 34, a fairly decent 33/34 sedan and a lil victim I will call the skipper critter M’Anglia. Not a lick of paint anywhere to be seen. These will be in the long term I’ll get to them someday box under the bench. But clearly labeled so that I can find them haha.
  20. Finally arrived! I have wanted one of these for a very long time! She is rough and missing a lot of parts but I have the main core to work with. I have a plan for this and I’m super excited to start.
  21. I haven’t done a bone build since maybe my first couple of models, I evolved to paint pretty rapidly. Most of my stash of unbuilt models unfortunately are bare white and chrome so they would look rather bland. I’ll have to do some looking around and see if there is a kit that has multiple variants of colours that I could maybe attempt this with. I am very interested in doing this.
  22. No long blog update today! Here it sits. That’s all see ya soon.
  23. Logic logic logic, you pointy eared hobgoblin, Is that all you know? Thank you for the kind comment. I dispensed with logic and popular opinion and have gone with a light gold as lettering for the hubcaps. They still require a little black wash to bring out the highlights.
  24. Alright alright alright! Today we( well I really mean just me) are back in action on the roadster. The parts box T is sitting quietly over in the shadow side of the bench for today. It’s down to the final details today. Started by mounting the body again to make sure we line up the grille shell in its proper height. Dang it looks good all shiny and proud up front. Yes I still have not mounted the front shocks as I still cannot decide on what lights to use. Still plenty of time before my deadline though( I actually did set a deadline) now with the depth of the channel we will have some interior issues to deal with ie the door panels to floor pan height. I have a tried and tested method for that, the floor pan has been narrowed by the width of the panels themselves so in theory( remember I said tried and tested earlier) the panels will slide down past the floor pan and every will just lock into place. I will be affixing the dash and interior panels to the body shell as opposed to the floor pan. Trust me it works! more later.
  25. Mean lookin lil critter
