I will humbly admit that I am of the first to b*tch and moan when I see curbside kits come out, but this one properly shuts me up!!!! It's so well done that I have to get one! If an engine plug and engine bay detail is the sacrifice to make for an otherwise nicely detailed kit, that lets us have rare subject matter for an affordable price, well sign me up then!

Same here; 4 of my go-to Canadian retailers usually have Heller kits, and only one presently lists the 205 GTi, but no ETA yet. Still no info either for the Fulvia. But from what I've seen over here with Heller kits, they often hit the shelves a good 6 months or more after the European release.

That's just a mind blowing model!!!! As a kid in the 80's, that model of Winnebago was my favorite amongst motorhomes! Don't ask me why hahaha!!!

Beautiful build! I'm a firm believer that wheels and tires make or break a model, as well as real cars. The ones you chose absolutely look like they were meant for this model, and makes it look way more realistic than the slightly dinky stock Revell wheels and tires. It's the little details that count!!!

First off, absolutely beautiful work and results! Second, hats off to you; I'd never be able to build one of those 1/43 kits... When I was a teen, I had shaky hands, but pretty much microscopes for eyes, being literally able to clearly read a book with the tip of my nose touching the page. Now I'm 44, my hands are now steady, but my eyes now suck at seeing far or really close hahaha!!!🤣😅🥲

I just jot done watching the first, newly issued half of Stranger Things 5. Although I wasn't excited at first when I discovered that the final S.T. model kit was going to be a GM van, especially when AMT already made one, I kinda want it now! After checking out most of my usual Canadian retailers, it seems that the ones who list it on preorder want 69,99$ CAD (50$ US) for this! 70 bucks for a curbside model with a toy-like slab chassis? I kinda want it, but I don't want it that bad, sorry. Then, checking out the pictures and infos, I realized it was a Revell Germany boxing, and remember they tried to pull the same shenanigans before with the Camaro, Blazer and Surfer Boy van, listing preorders for the more expensive Revell Germany versions. But it backfired, because the Revell Germany versions arrived so late, that the more reasonably priced Revell USA kits already came out!!!! So I'm willing to bet that later on in 2026, we'll also have a Revell USA issue, so I'm putting my wallet aside and will wait patiently until then!

Well first of all, I'm greatfull about all those reissues, because as a kid, I only got model kits on Christmas and my birthday, and they weren't always those I wanted. So I now have a chance to get everything I missed on, and oftentimes with corrected flaws and more decals, such as gauges and badges, that I would've gone nuts just to have those back in the day! But that being said, back in the 80s and 90s, new kits never stopped coming it seemed. I DO understand how the hobby might not be as popular now as it was then, and that tooling up new kits is extremely cost prohibitive. However, there are some M.I.A. kits that should've existed, but don't. The Jeep Cherokee XJ comes to mind, as it's almost part of Americana... So I know how you feel, but the reality is fewer people buys kits, and it costs more to develop new ones, and return on investment is closely calculated, or should I say, "speculated".... Doesn't mean they always get it right though!!!!

I was going through my old photos and found these to add to yours; a Swinger in Plum Crazy!!! I grew up in Granby, Quebec, Canada. I don't know what is it about that city, but a big portion of the population seemed to be into cars. In the summer, next to the Boivin Lake, was a huge antique and vintage car show, with even many people from the eastern US coming to show their beautiful cars. My Dad used to take me to that show every summer in the 90's, so I've got piles of photos!!!! I caught that Dart just as it was leaving!!! I can still remember the sound, as well as the sweet exhaust smell of that pre-catalytic converter car running on pre-ethanol fuel!!!! Those were the days!!!!

Wow, that's a tasteful build! I love how it's modded, but not over the top, and the color combo is awesome and classy at the same time! I can't stop looking at it!😅

I really wanted a kit of the new limited run Countach LPI 800-4, and Aoshima was the only one offering it. Great price, great details and quality, even putting many 1/24 and 1/25 kits to shame!

Nope!!! Never saw any advertisement/brochures/real life Blazer Xtremes in my neck of the woods! And at the time as a youngster, I was a huge car freak, went every year to the Montreal Auto Show, collected dealer brochures, and every Christmas I got the "Guide de L'auto" which was the annual auto review bible and reference over here before youtube and online reviews became a thing. I never was aware that there was a Blazer Xtreme, and I honestly first read about it here!!! I really like the idea, but I'm also bummed we didn't get theme here!!!😢

Question for you American guys and gals; was the Xtreme only an appearance package available on all trims? Because in Canada, it was only available in extended cab, stepside flavor with the 4.3 and automatic. My manager from like 10-12 years ago had an Xtreme that was imported from the US, that was single cab, slab-side bed with a 4-banger and a manual. I dismissed it at the time, thinking it was a fake, but turns out he was right, as it had the MPH-only cluster. Either versions are cool, but had I have the choice in 2012 when I bought my 1998 Ranger single cab, I would've went with the way cooler single cab Xtreme!!!!

As a kid and teen, I wanted to become a car designer, but my plans changed. But I always was heavily into car design. And while I never owned or drove any of these cars, here are those that I just can't get enough, that are still as incredibly sexy to my eyes as the day they came out, even as time go by. The Porsche 993 Turbo and Carerra, and of course the FD3S Mazda RX-7!!!

Well, since 2012 my daily was my 1998 Ford Ranger Stepside, and my 1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer was my long term project/summer driver. But having moved in the countryside, the Ranger was, let's say "interesting" on the country roads winter commutes, not to mention it was getting long in the tooth. So I needed something 4x4 or AWD, so last summer I bought this 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 H.O. which I absolutely love! It is now my main daily driver, since the Comanche now have a leaking gas tank, a rotten exhaust, and still needs some fiddling with the front adjustable control arms to get back to proper geometry and pinion angles, due to the suspension lift. I still have my Ranger, the Ol' Reliable Mule, as my go-to for when either of my Jeeps needs repair!!! 😅😅😅

Well at first, I though that Ice Cream Van was going to be based on the same Grumman full-size box truck model family (which were available in many different lengths) as Doc Brown's truck, as was the original van in the original Twisted Metal game. But as many pointed out, this upcoming kit looks to be more of a smaller Grumman LLV like the US Mail uses. The LLV was based on Chevy S-10 frames and mechanicals IIRC, while the full-sized box trucks were made on GM squarebody heavy duty/commercial rolling frames. I used to have a 90's GM trucks lineup brochure I got at an auto show in the 90's (I might still have it, not sure) where that same Grumman full-size box truck body was still available for the new at the time, OBS Chevy heavy duty and commercial frames.
