  1. Old School, cool I am an eyeball engineering man myself even with my CAD work for the most part. Great job so far, I'm looking forward to the rest of your build. Model On!
  2. Hello François, Mostly just kidding about the CAd part. It looks like you are using both the kit and printed parts so I didn't realize that the frame was printed also, I may have missed that along the way. Do you use a 3D scanner or reference probe to copy the kit parts? Not being familiar with the kit I was going to ask if the Airfix kit included a molded version of the wood structure, not something usually found in box kits. I gather that you have good reference material for the internal wood frame construction. Yes It is pretty surprising that there wasn't some warping or misalignment of the original kit parts, especially in this scale. Thanks again for sharing!
  3. The CAD layouts shouldn't have changed that much over 9 months. Beautiful Work! Serious dedication to detail especially the inner workings like the super steering layout. Thanks for the great WIP.
  4. Differently is how I think about the modeling philosophies of Revell vs. AMT offerings.
  5. "Them" cried the little girl as the Giant Ants over ram the tiny town of Ludlow!
  6. Hive never seen such a thing!
  7. Texas, Taxis, or Taxes, I'd prefer taxis!
  8. Correctly aligning your universal bearings is vital to a long lasting and smooth running driveline.
  9. This is my type 55 by Vroom in 1/43 scale. Sweet little gar, I love the lines of this classic design.
  10. Nonsensical is the very nature of many politicians today!
  11. Elite comes just before Flite and right after Dlite.
  12. Hobby shops are getting harder and harder to find these days, at least the good ones!
  13. Listening to a KKUP psychedelic marathon wile I write.. Besides the "Ultimate Spinach" "Dinosaur Swamp" by The Flock were great but my favorite 1968 album was "The Wozard of IZ" an early Moog synthesizer exploration.
  14. Notes are great if you pay attention to them.
  15. Wives and Lovers should NEVER meet!
  16. Same here Charles, Lucked into the same size slab and prize it highly. The material is basically a pure extrusion of bondo so that works well as a filler also. Below is really an extravagance.
  17. Day after day I think 'I've Got to get back to that model project'!
  18. Yes indeed, even the small scraps can be useful for small parts like flanges. My shop is a testament to hording scraps of wire, plastics, metal, and resins of all kinds for detailing and scratch building.
  19. First the idea then... Research, research, research. As Rod Stewart said "Every picture tells a story". Then any material is your gateway to modeling.
  20. Favorites also include MJQ, Clapton, Zappa, and Bob Wills!
  21. missing my cue is embarrassing!
  22. Me, Myself, and I! I've always wanted to do one of these, unfortunately I never seem to have access to a camera or safe spot on the highway to get one on a super polished tanker.
  23. Morning for poor Graham Rahal who missed getting in the Big Show by .007 MPH!
  24. Front end looks a little like the last gen Camaro or Firebird.
  25. Risk not, you will, want not!
