  1. It’s not clear to me why it should be up to the customer to jump through hoops in order to get an update on the order that they already paid for. You categorize the poster as if he is unreasonable in his expectations, and that he’s a product of a world that expects everything to happen in an instant, but I don’t see it that way. IMHO, once the seller has accepted payment for the item(s), it’s incumbent on him to fulfill the order within the timeframe that was provided. If he can’t make the deadline, then it’s up to him to communicate with the customer as to why it didn’t happen, and what the expectation should be to send out the product. Then it’s up to the customer to decide whether they want to continue or request a refund. That’s business, and it’s fair. I know that most people in this hobby are incredibly understanding and reasonable, and with some communication from the seller, they would be more than willing to wait… all they want is some assurance that the item will eventually arrive. However, with no communication, there’s no reassurance, and trust starts to fade. Anxiety sets in and we wonder if we will ever get the parts that we paid for. The lack of communication also gives the impression that the seller doesn’t really care, since he can’t even be bothered to answer an email. Key point: communication. It’s something so basic and simple, but something so many screw up. I suspect that this entire situation could have been avoided had the seller simply said something like “sorry I’m running behind, but I should be able to get it out to you in a couple of weeks”… or whatever. Just my 2 cents, but I get annoyed at how the values out in the world seem to be changing to the point that it’s up to the customer to make sure he gets what he paid for, and it’s okay that he has to spend a bunch of time and energy to chase down the seller to get him to do something that is the very reason that his business exists in the first place.
  2. Thank you. They look pretty close to the caps I've seen on Dodge pickups from the 1970s, like in this brochure pic: 1976 Dodge pickup brochure page, which is the look I'm trying to capture. However, I am also not very familiar with the details of pickups in general, I just like the no-nonsense no-option look, on the heavier duty pickups. I'm definitely not one to be in a position to make suggestions, though, they look great to me. No rush on this for me. I'll check your cults page from time to time and if I can get somebody to print them off for me, I'll go that route. Appreciate your correspondence on this.
  3. You’re welcome! Do you plan to add your Dodge truck hubcap to the cults site? Also what year models and applications are they meant for? Looks like 3/4 ton or 1-tons perhaps? I like the look anyhow. Also, I don’t have a printer (or the knowledge to use one), but if I found somebody to buy the file, print it, and sell the printed part to me, is that okay, or would there be some issue with licensing, etc? I am just learning about this whole 3D printing thing, and perhaps might take the plunge and buy one someday, but for now I just want to find cool part designs and get some printed for me to use on a model. Thanks!
  4. Thanks! I’ll give it a try. Edit: Let’s see if this works: https://cults3d.com/en/users/Basement-Resin/3d-models
  5. Would it be possible to provide a link to your stuff at cults? Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but when I search for Basement-resin, I get 397 results, the first few pages seem to be random items, not your designs. I gave up after that…
  6. I can confirm that they did use these B bodies as RCMP cruisers. Years ago my buddy bought a ‘77 or ‘78 as a complete parts car. It had all the police stuff, including the 440 police interceptor engine, and was RCMP purple/blue. Would have been nice to have it as a driver, but it was too far gone for that.
  7. I don’t see any errors. It’s beautiful!
  8. Is it possible that there were different moulds running in parallel for the same kit? The reason I am thinking this way comes from a conversation about GTO bodies where the ’70 GTO in the Super Stocker series came from a promo tool, and then there was the ‘72, from the annual tool, that had previously been changed to the NASCAR version and back (discernible due to the polished inner surface for the clear body), and then, IIRC, there was another tool used as well (maybe the street version of the’70?) …the details escape me. It got me wondering, given the conflicting reports of some Rivs with vinyl and some without, if there could have been two versions of the tooling being used, with and without vinyl top detail. I have no knowledge or factual information, just blind speculation based upon nothing…
  9. IMHO, a mod should step up and do this. I have never purchased from Ray’s decals, but I would (or perhaps will in the future) based upon the many posts I have read in this thread. However, if I were one to just read topic titles, I might be inclined to not look into ordering from them because of the negative image projected from the topic title. In the name of fairness, someone should deal with this.
  10. IMHO, Round 2 isn’t aiming at the “kids” market segment with their reissues, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t do it, if there are modellers out there willing to buy them (which is their business call). Fear not, though, as our friend Justin points out, there are many other companies out there who are providing model kits for that market segment. There’s something for everybody. 👍🏻
  11. And in the case of the BRE version, it lends itself well to blocked off headlights for the race truck! 👍🏻
  12. Thanks! This one will go on my list. 🙂
  13. Anybody know if the fender blisters are separate pieces? I would like to build one stock, or close to it.
  14. It says 1:25 scale. Is it a variation of the Stranger Things tooling, or just an old Monogram 1:24 mislabeled? My apologies if this seems like a dumb question… I’ve only recently gotten into pickups, so am not familiar with the ins and outs of the various kits that have been run over the years.
  15. I read this years ago due to your recommendation on the old Hobby Heaven (now Spotlight) board, and I have to say it was eye opening, enlightening, and entertaining, all at the same time. Definitely second the recommendation.
  16. Won’t be making it this year. Have some health issues in the family to look after. Nothing serious, but enough to keep me from straying too far from home for a few weeks. Enjoy! It’s always a good one!
  17. The maritimes. I haven’t been into a store for several months, but last time I got a Revell ‘70 Torino Cobra. After the 30% coupon was applied, the price was $28 Cdn, a steal at today’s prices. In checking their website, I just noticed they are not showing stock in any stores near me, so I hope that’s just temporary. Seems like a lot of supply chain issues since all this tariff nonsense started, so maybe it’s just that. Since I haven’t actually been in the stores to check the shelves, I can’t even say they don’t have them for sure. Websites aren’t always accurate, I’ve noticed.
  18. Me too! I don’t want it taking out any of my other builds on the shelf due to some brake malfunction!
  19. Thanks Dave, I was just thinking in terms of making a relatively easy pro touring Torino with a quick chassis swap, since this one will already have all the bits engineered to fit together nicely. I’m not even sure if the wheelbases are the same, but if so, then maybe it would be close enough to look decent. Just noodling anyhow…
