  1. What? No Flux Capacitor?
  2. BTW, if you put "Mercedes Benz G4" into Google Image, lots of pics. Or at least more than I thought there would be.
  3. So, it's not a Jeep thing?
  4. Just when I think there is nothing new that can be done, you do something new! The Cord drive on the front- BRILLIANT! We need a "two thumbs up" emo!
  5. Well, hot doggie!
  6. What? You do know this thread is about an actual full size vehicle, yes?
  7. That is SO true! And THANK YOU to "management" for making it that way!
  8. Wow! That Audi has more aero than some aircraft! Nice job!
  9. Actually, much (but not all) of the body structure is new. New nose, new tail, new side sculpting, new side window shape. A complete re-freshening using some of the original unibody.
  10. The "Kennedy" limo, a 1961 Lincoln Continental X-100 was rebodied after the assassination. The job took about six months. President Johnson saw that it was the same shade of blue as the Kennedy car, and refused to accept that. The car was then painted black. This car served many presidents as stated. There is no "Only now resurfaced" about this car; nor was it destroyed.
  11. The crushed one was buried in a grassy knoll.
  12. Agree 100%. They could even tape it for future broadcast.
  13. I believe that bidders need to register. This keeps all the 'lookie loo's' out of the way. The staff (as well as buyers & sellers) naturally want serious bidders only taking up valuable real estate. As it is now, there is too many people up on the platform standing in the way. I suspect that most buyers have already scouted out the grounds earlier, and fully gone over their potential prospects. On another note... seriously? someone actually quitting viewing the show because they failed to show the one vehicle they were interested in? OMG.
  14. FORD 1960 STARLINER 2 DOOR HARDTOP in Orchid Grey
  15. Though a coupe, this '72 Olds Pace Car offers good detail. Notice the black trim around the headlight chrome... so easy to miss without reference pics.
  16. Reference pics... I will post more in the "Ref. Pics" album.
  17. Brian- did you read the article on that in Jalopnik? http://jalopnik.com/5739333/president-kennedys-ambulance-is-a-fake In fact, I have heard that Barrett-Jackson will have a news conference on this some time before their event ends. I think this story is still evolving.
  18. I can't even read my own mind!
  19. "Christine" as photographed by Dave Lindsay: I guess the neat thing with model cars, you can do things your own way.
  20. Black wheels? Maybe if the rim had a thin red stripe to visually separate it from the tire. Keep going with this! Very unusual subject matter!
  21. I'm taking in the 2011 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale show on Speed... and on the net. It's a reference photo treasure chest. I don't care for their web site layout, so here is a link: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/currentcarlist.aspx?aid=403&sd=01/18/2011&ed=01/18/2011 The shear volume, quality, and variety is amazing.
  22. And for the rest of us who don’t own a lathe, polish a length of 1/8 aluminum rod with metal polish. Then cut to the length you want, making as many as you need. Use a jewelers flat file to level each end. Now use a #11 blade shave out the inner area at one end on each piece. Next, stand each piece with the shaved end up; insert the point on a center punch, and give a light tap with a hammer. See pics: Note that my stacks are quite short. If I was making taller stacks, I would try drilling a hole in a wood block, perhaps a little shorter in height than the stacks. Does that make sense? They may not be as perfect as actual machined parts, but they’re great for the diy guy.
  23. Dang nice! Wish I had one!
  24. You would think an attorney could afford to upgrade from his current steam-powered computer!
