  2. Memo to self: Check the "On The Workbench" section next time before asking Q's about a new kit!
  3. Oh yeahhhh! That IS nice stuff! I may buy the Hawaiian which shares some tooling afaik. Build reports like yours are much appreciated! BTW, what red is that?
  4. Thanks Brett. Would anyone know what blue spray to buy?
  5. With a name like "Elemento", they should build the first one for Dr. Demento.
  6. I think you should send that DVD to me so I could watch it too!!
  7. Many hobby stores stock K&S Metal. Look for this display:
  8. I have never built a model of a funny car, but that may happen. Q is, build the Polar Lights Hawaiian, or buy the new one from Revell? Also, which blue paint should I buy?
  9. As stated, the front has 38 Ford traits. I see cues of a Bugatti Atlantic in the body
  10. More reason for me to renew my PayPal! I like your proactive approach to marketing!
  11. Sean, perhaps you could also consider Revells late-model Corvette C6-R kits?
  12. Diggin' it!
  13. My local Michael's Craft Store has that in stock right now... check one near you. Don't forget the 40% off coupon.
  14. Years ago I won an E-Bay bid on a kit from Hong Kong. Instead of packing the kit in a shipping box, it arrived wrapped in paper! I was amazed that the kit was not damaged! I never bid on a kit from overseas since.
  15. Wasn't that the toy out of a Cracker Jack box?
  16. In fact, the photos of that collision have surfaced... BTW,here is the link to the ABC News story... http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/black-friday-shipping-company-careful-holiday-packages/story?id=12244017
  17. From what I saw of the videos, the employees are still trying to decide if "FRAGILE" means "shoot hoops", "go for the long bomb", or "home run!"
  18. I didn't vote this time, as I couldn't find any info from my internet searches. I tried Alfa, Delahaye, Horsch, Delage, all with no luck
  19. GMA (Good Morning America) just showed the results of a test done to test the three big US shippers for package handling and damage. They compared FedEx, UPS, and the USPS by shipping packages with motion sensing software from NYC to California, then to Texas, then back to NYC. Guess who was the most gentle with your package? The answer surprised me. The USPS had the least damage! They also showed several YouTube videos of shippers tossing, flipping, and outright throwing packages! What if you stick a “FRAGILE†label on your package? The quantity of impacts actually increased! They suggest using good quality boxes that have never been previously damaged or deformed; pack contents tightly; use insurance each time; and… take a photo of the contents before packing, and again when it is in the box, before sealing. Because model builders often ship kits, I thought this would be of some help. More peanuts, anyone?
  20. That's it. That is how I would want mine to look!
  21. Just switched earlier today...
  22. The Lamborghini Reventon comes to mind...
  23. How about the "NUKE WASTE" decals? Those are killer!
  24. I just bought the 2010 Corvette ZR1 kit by Revell... kudos to Revell for stuffing that box sideways! The body and all the parts trees all fit in on their side, thus making it easy to get everything back in the box. Sort of our hobbies "once in a blue moon" event. I wish every kit was this easy to repack!
