  1. Check out the first few paragraphs http://www.cnn.com/2010/TECH/innovation/11/02/seth.priebatsch.scvngr/index.html?hpt=C1
  2. Wooden you know it, airfare is going up! (Sorry, I still thinking about the Morgan posts)
  3. Was yesterday the first day, or the second day of this two-day sale?
  4. Awesome Gremlin build!
  5. Maybe the shipping was on time, until the donkey died? The current Charger, which has been on the streets for I believe at least five years, will have been replaced with a new car by time this "new" kit finally hits the shelves. This model kit has been in the planning stages for about as long, if not longer. Maybe we can add Lindberg issue dates to the list of the top lies? I.E: The check is in the mail...
  6. Like I said, I could be wrong. According to my wife, I'm always wrong LoL! Buried down in my dungeon somewhere, I had a big jar of silver flake; the kind they used on customs back in the 70's and earlier. You would need a lot of clear to bury that stuff! I just think it odd to go thru all that work to use crushed glass, or flake on a race car. Every now and again, it does happen... a racing "show" car. For example, there has been more than one stock car done up in "chrome"; one of which was DW.
  7. Talk about a long, drawn out death. Still sucks to see the brand that brought us the GTO, go. Still need to add a year to this.
  8. They do look good in white!
  9. Or maybe, just maybe, not everyone thinks your described "Urban Assault Styling" is all bad? I mean, if every vehicle was designed with the same exact design cues as they did 30+ years ago, whoud that be.. progress? You must progress, there is no denying it. Change is inevitable. Safety sells... nowadays. Fed regs require better passenger protection, thus a more "cocooning". That is progress... you can welcome it, or, it can run you over!
  10. Crushed glass? Crushed glass? No. Not buying it. As previously stated, glass originates from sand. Sand in a paintjob = one crappy job, i.e. spraying a car in the middle of a sandpit on a windy day. Why would someone intentionally do that? But I could be wrong.
  11. ZOMBIES! Blame it on zombies!
  12. I have to agree with most of that. Most people liked Elvis for his music... I admired him because he would shoot his TV when it annoyed him. Now that is entitlement. Anyhow, our 'antique' TV is starting to blink out, so we will be soon upgrading. News and movies are what I am into. With one or two exceptions, everything else is pure garbage. Novacaine for the brain. Just waiting for the best "Black Friday" deal!
  13. Ya'all done did good! On Wednesday July 30, 2003 the last Beetle left the production line at Volkswagen de Mexico in Puebla.
  14. If they are going with this "boutique" showroom & dealer idea, then... I guess we won't be seeing too many of them around here. Maybe one of the Boston 'burbs will have a dealer. The 500GT actually looks cool!
  15. I would say you are correct on at least two counts... that is one nice model; almost has a "promo" look to it. Also that rear axle is a bit further back than it should be. As for price, the true value of the car is whatever someone is willing to pay. People pay as much if not more for old promos with warped plastic.
  16. Jeez, Marcos! That is one nice build! Your color choice looks great; not the 'standard' yellow or red. Thanks for sharing.
  17. I do not have Photobucket. Let’s see if I can post one of your pics, and better still, will it stay? I notice that I do not even need to open the photo before copying… I just run the cursor over the thumbnail size pic, and that in turn opens four options. I will try the one that says “IMG Codeâ€: Well, it works… but it didn’t resize down to a “board friendly†size. Maybe someone here that is familiar with PBucket can chime in to help? Consider going with Fotki. The premium package is not free, but certainly affordable. Unlike PB (afaik), Fotki Premium has NO pop-up ads, easy to use, and all pics are re-sized. Check out the write-up in Wikipedia.
  18. The day I need to "dress for success" just to shop for model supplies, that's the day I shop on-line. Oh wait... I already do!
  19. I just watched a Mopar/SEMA video, where the Mopar rep was showing a FIAT 500 edition. I understand that Chrysler and FIAT are partnered now, but I guess I was assuming that the 500 would be re-badged as a Mopar brand. The video shows the 500 still wearing a FIAT badge on the nose. What's up with that? Will they keep the FIAT name alive here in the North American market?
  20. Nice! But the thumb is out of scale.
  21. Speechless! I am stunned! Those fenders... NO imperfections under that Alclad! The engine is killer. Everything about this... just... stunning!
  22. Last month, Sandy and I celebrated 25 years of marriage
  23. I use this one, and it is free: http://www.picresize.com/
  24. Verdadero. ¿sí?
  25. And he couldn't do that without a ladder?
