  1. I vote "real".
  2. Dang, that's nice! Good job Terry. But... I see red... I see white... are you sure there is orange and yellow in there?
  3. That would be neat to park next to this:
  4. Why not go to a model event, such as a contest? There is always vendors who are more than happy to sell kits, often at good deals. The Southern Nats are in Smyrna, Ga. on 11/13, and it looks to be a less than a four hour drive for you from what I can see on Google Maps. While you're there, enter a model or ten, and support our hobby! If you want to go real long distance, there is an event in Norfolk, Va on 10/23 by the Tidewater club. All this info is from the "coming events' in the model mags section.... that's the best way to find out what's happining out there. I also concur that shopping on-line works as well. Good luck!
  5. Hurst / Challenger! Great job! Do you have a link to Mikes Scale Speed Shop?
  6. Thanks Mike! I'll plan on a 1/2" PVC pipe frame. Maybe I should use the backside of a poster for the backdrop?
  7. I need an indoor photography setup; I have always been intrigued by the PVC pipe frames for the clamp-on lights. Can anyone suggest what works? I have seen the store bought ones, I would rather make my own “studioâ€. What size pipe? Two, or three clamp lights? What type bulbs?
  8. Yeah... that's a knockout punch! Just enuf eye candy. EXIT sign... *~grin!~*
  9. They do have a two-door Charger. It's called Challenger. Most everything a two door Charger could do, the Challenger does. Now about using the "Charger" name, that's a different story. It really deserved a different name.
  10. Well, if you think of "ugly" as in overall detail & quality, I would say this Hudson Hornet. It was slush-cast from an old Banthrico promo, I believe. I think it was cast by the name of Sam Miller. I think parts of the body are over 1/4" thick. What you see is what it came with, plus a slab for a chassis.
  11. RMR does "Scrape"! Scrape made a big splash back in 1998. Since then it has been in shows, magazines and advertisements everywhere you look. These shots were taken at the NSRA Nationals in '98. The chopped top and the lengthened rear fenders are the most obvious modifications to the Lincoln Zephyr body.
  12. I voted "model"; hard to tell one way or another... and Harry is good at photoshop on backgrounds, etc.
  13. And on a related note, never use the url direct from the internet; always upload to the photo host site first. Otherwise, the photo will magically change to a different photo all by itself! So now I fixed it!
  14. Well I, for one, am going with the conspiracy theory! It's those commies, I tell ya!
  15. I am sure they have one, no, several other "Bumblebee" cars. In most TV and movie productions, there are always backup vehicles if such vehicle is a main player to the story. Only question is, where? On the D.C. set, or out in L.A?
  16. Woo! Slowbuild, take it easy Slowbuild, take it easy Slowbuild, take it easy Slowbuild, take it easy I'm in the mood The rhythm is right Move to the music We can build all night Oooh Slowbuild Oooh Slowbuild, take it easy
  17. I just checked out this "video". AFAIK most videos are of one single model, but I did find one slide show that was over 10 minutes in length. I watched the first 1:30 of this. I recognized two models; in fact, they may be from my photo collection. Doesn't bother me a bit. No claims appear to be made, so no problem.
  18. Is that what this is about? Because I didn't bother to look... my bad. If that is the case, well, he won't enjoy looking at my Fotki albums! I save thousands of pics! They are indeed photos of other peoples builds. See "--- MISC. MODELS ---(SORT by MAKE)---" @: http://public.fotki.com/JCole/model_car_shows/misc_model_contests/ I label as many as I can, and arrange them alphabetically by name of the car. This is one of the ways I enjoy this hobby. I think of it as an easy to search reference guide. As long as no dishonest claims are made, I see nothing wrong with it
  19. Let me please help out here! OK, I have some bad news that may piss you off. Here is what happened: I was on YouTube, watching some videos on a guys channel called 1941gm; go to it. I bet there are pics of your models on there. Guys, you have to look at these videos! This is not right! You can’t just take peoples photos and say they’re yours! I’m posting this all over the web. Help me get rid of this bastard! Again, his YouTube user name is “1941gmâ€. I have seen some work on their belonging to other people.
  20. Bummer about the hinge breaking. Is it a pin that broke off? Can a hole be drilled to accept a metal pin? Perhaps a typical metal push pin cut down? Hope you find a way... save the Sambas!
  21. Great idea, Skip. As if this board doesn't have enough restrictions. Most of these restrictions are in place because of endless nit-picking and bee-itching. Live and let live.
  22. Hey Bill! Happy birthday buddy! Hope you join us again!
  23. Franklin Mint '55 Cadillac "Elvis" Unless something turns up in resin, this may be the only game in town
  24. Me like! Altho it has been rather entertaining watching the color predictions bounce all over the place!
  25. The Jaguar C-X75 should be made... in both 1:1, and 1/25 scale!
