  1. This is going to be sooo nice when done! Going with stock or aftermarket wheels?
  2. WOW! It's the ultra-rare AbortoMatic 3000!
  3. What I found: Plastruct, Inc. 1020 South Wallace Place City of Industry, CA 91748 Phone: 626.912.7016 Fax: 626.965.2036 Toll Free: 800.666.7015 Mon - Thurs 7:30 to 4:00 Pacific Time Email: plastruct@plastruct.com Is this the same info you have? You may need to try snail mail. Best of luck.
  4. I haven't built the kit; and I have also heard the same thing about it. If the doors are a problem, just glue them shut. The weak link with vintage kits with opening doors, most of them have no door jamb, nor any lip for the door to rest against. The result is a visible gap that lets light pass through. I have a few pics of other's A-100 builds, at this page... http://public.fotki.com/JCole/model_car_shows/misc_model_contests/page31.html ...and the following page. For L-700 builds... http://public.fotki.com/JCole/model_car_shows/misc_model_contests/page37.html BTW, a tip of the hat to Lindberg for really knowing how to milk the tooling for this kit!
  5. Thanks, Harry. I just called; no muss, no fuss.
  6. Finally recieved # 155 a few days ago. Somewhat mutilated, but at least nothing is missing. I guess I can read it as is, but I've lost interest in it as a result. I will try again later.
  7. Are any of these kits involved? They are some of what your descrip made me think of...
  8. The photo will be properly labelled as faux.
  9. Robert Reder, co-founder of Monogram, has passed away. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/chicagotribune/obituary.aspx?page=lifestory&pid=148793031
  10. I'm never going to finish the Testors Charger Daytona (diecast door gaps!), at least I completed the engine. I will prob need to repaint the orange insert. BTW, it looks like Lindberg didn't include any decals of the dash heater & radio controls... bummer. I tried to make one in my crude art program... 11. Details & weathering! Nice work, no matter when it was made!
  12. Ay! Finally caved; bought a model! Still cannot find a Charger police car... hoping for Friday.
  13. Surprisingly nice in satin black!
  14. Real nice job on the 917, Steve!
  15. I have seen the destruction on CNN, aweful. The residents and families of those affected are in my thoughts and prayers
  16. Ironic you mention Border Patrol. I believe there is a funeral today for one of the officers who was gunned down by the cartel.
  17. Mike- The van is is lookin' great! You have some great ideas here. Like printing out the lug pattern before attempting to drill. It's the small stuff like that one that make a difference.
  18. Make it an inside job.
  19. Remember, a light touch on the blade! Some say the weight of the knife is all you need. If you are tense and stressed, you may put too much pressure on the blade. Thin foil will cut easily... go easy, trim one panel at a time! Want to try something different? For long, thin chrome strips, use "eyeball measuring" to cut the foil to the correct width... right on the sheet. Then peel it up, and apply it like yow were adding pinstriping tape to a car. If it doesn't lay down straight, peel it up and try again. No matter how you do it, save the final burnishing for last; after all the trimming. I know you will do just fine!
  20. Great job on the Prototype!
  21. Now that we know that all versions will have the exact same parts (including lightbars), and nothing is pre-painted in any of the kits, what reason would there be to buy the "undecorated" kit? What does the "undecorated" kit have that the other kits do not?
  22. Awesome Deuce! Is that a concave grille insert?
  23. Congrats on the home improvement! Looks good! BTW, like the kitchen island!
