  1. I am also concerned. I suspect that Gregg is fine, flying above the islands in the Golden Bell Press corporate helicopter!
  2. Actually, if you think of all the recently tooled kit inaccuracies (debated in other parts of this forum) that would make this kit ahead of its time!
  3. Japan. The predicted tsunami in Hawaii was relatively minor from what I understand. Parts of Japan has been decimated.
  4. The video on the cable news is shocking. I saw a large truck on a road get swallowed up and pushed along in a giant debris wave.
  5. Me as a 50 ft. giant Secret Service agent... ...and with my best bud:
  6. Nice work! I am building something similar, and I know how difficult it is to get everything positioned to line up.
  7. I don't think so. Not pre-assembled, or in plastic.
  8. Try different grits of sandpaper. A fine grit for the base of the mat, a coarser grit cut slightly smaller for the "carpet" layered on top. Maybe use plug wire for a edge. Spray to color, and give it a shot of clear dullcoat. Just a thought.
  9. Truth in advertising.
  10. A stripped body shell of a Stude on a trailer... what a great idea for a model build. Too bad I don't have the time for it.
  11. My left eye is spinning clockwise, my right eye is spinning counter-clockwise. I mutter vague profanities. I bit my tongue because it was hanging out. It's metal... and yet, more detailed than plastic. Oh, and it's un-freakin'-believeable! Like seeing a UFO, I don't know how, I just know it is AMAZING!
  12. Looks like they went e-zine. I would rather have that, then nothing at all. Is Rod & Custom a diff publisher then either Street Rodder, or Custom Rodder was?
  13. Hey, Don! That all looks good! That color looks right on the '37 Are you going to either clearcoat, or wet sand the paint? I can't really see the finish... I'm not judging. Keep on building!
  14. Some of these cottage industry vendors are such small time businesses; they don't have the time or resources to use technology for promotion. Seems like us modelers could help fill in the gaps, yes? If you have any photos of the products of this vendor, maybe we should share that here. Here is a link to a few pics I have. Note that my photos are not necessarily mine; I give credit where I can. Also, you can search for what you are looking for as the album is listed alphabetically. http://public.fotki.com/JCole/models_misc/page4.html A few samples:
  15. Someone should market reproductions! Unless someone already is? Like the source that Casey referred to. Anyone else?
  16. What's not to like? Looks great! What I can see of the interior, that looks good too!
  17. No reason, I just didn't know if you were experienced with it... sounds like you are! Some newbies may not realize that resin requires diff. glue. I have been building (the second time around) since 1989, and I have yet to build a resin body! Although I am working on a pickup w/ resin cab, that will be my first. Hope you get that resin Cad.
  18. We don't get to see many of those on workbench!
  19. Niiice! My local hobby shop has (had?) that kit... if it's still there today, I'm buyin' it!
  20. Built by Chip Bailey from NH. That build got him the top award @ the 2001 NNL East.
  21. I have seen motorcades for fallen soldiers last year. It is stunning to witness. Over 70 motorcycles, police cruisers and fire trucks parked along the road w/ lights flashing... people just standing by the road. Godspeed, Cpl. Jonathan Turner.
  22. Actually, I am really looking forward to this! Thanks for the heads up, Mike!
