  1. Was the Meteor marketed as a Ford, or a Mercury?
  2. Mads, awesome looking Porsche prototype!
  3. No school means no work for us bus drivers. But... my wife turned back; couldn't make her 20 mile commute. NOW it's a snow crisis!
  4. PROGRESS! Courtesy Mother Nature. I finally made progress on my 37/57… first real mockup here with Modelhaus skins (#186 out back; #120 up front) on wheels from the Bantam Blast. Still not sure about a mill… the Bantam’s looks good, but no tranny means I would need to scrounge one up. Any source ideas out there for the tranny, or even an entire different powerplant? I really dig FAT TIRES! Nothing else will do for this! Also thinking of gloss black paint; possibly a two tone. I would like to show ’57 Ford influence.
  5. And the Ferrari was brand new.
  6. Always love laughing at the rednecks that drive their big 4x4's too fast in snow... and end up stuck in the median. Just because they have 4WD won't help them one bit when they hit ice.
  7. I want to use these wide tires from the Modelhaus (#186) Any idea what kits I can search for wheels that fit?
  8. Lol! No, I am 100% legit! I was Google Image searching "Rolex 24"; several pages in, and "ZAP". Next time, I'm buying a Mac.
  9. Try what I just did... got zapped w/ malware virus for the third time since fall! On the other hand, I just made some slight progress on a model.
  10. I'm with Ian on this... for the luv of God, PLEASE knock it off.
  11. Yeah! I would like to find a pic of that! They just showed the crew adding MORE 200 mph tape!
  12. Well as we approach noontime on the east coast, it looks like BMW is crowding the lead in DP... The #02 car no longer looks like this, as they are on their third nose replacement, undecorated white paint. And the lead in GT class...
  13. Hope you get a nice gift on your birthday, Doc!
  14. Lovin' it! One eyeball on SPEED, the other one harvesting pics off the 'net. Local favorite- Turner Motorsports from Amesbury, Ma- Lizards ROCK! Even in DP! Need a Camaro GT-R in resin!
  15. Steve, IF there was a kit of the '74 Monaco, I would buy one... but there isn't. Do I want them to invest $$$ in a new tool for it? No!!! Because- it would be a sales dud. And that would take away $$$ for tooling for new, viable kits. Sorry man. Same way I am not holding my breath for a '64 Corvair Greenbriar Van... not gonna happen.
  16. I saw this on Spotlight (w/ the usual paranoia "don't-steal-my-pic" watermark) glad you were able to post this; thank you! I hear the price will be right up there in the stratosphere w/ Tamiya et al. I am glad they are producing this kit, but I doubt I will buy one.
  17. Dat's kool!
  18. YEAHHHhhh! "Like" is an understatement!
  19. Nice! But what kit is it based on?
  20. I was wondering how it would be viewed if we were to "promote" an ad on eModel Cars? It would help the seller; help the potential buyer, and help Da Boss. It would seem to fit in "General" topics. I don't think it would "take over" the listings, but that's just my op. I haven't sold anything in years, or even tried to. Don't care for E-Bay, Gregg's place seems like a great idea, but is low on traffic. Sooooo..... how about a little harmless promotion? Or not? What say you?
  21. Actually, I (plus wife & no kids) liked Cars. It's not a "cartoon". A cartoon is shallow entertainment. I feel that Cars was about the loss of a different time and place in America... a simpler, more relaxed time as depicted in small towns along the infamous Route 66. I doubt "kids" would get that. Plus, the visual perks! Mountain ranges shaped as '59 Caddy fins... tire tracks in the cloud formations... if you didn't see that, then you didn't see it.
  22. I think I recognize that...
  23. I have Fotki for a photo host, most of my pics are OK to use for avatars. If not, then I highly recommend this: http://www.picresize.com/ So easy, even I can use it.
