  1. Hey Ed! We are all waiting for you to come back! Hope every day is better than the day before!

  3. Looks wild!
  4. Wow! That looks good. I hope you consider moving those rear meats outward a bit... wide track = stability & handling. I dig hubless wheels, but I read that they are not practical, and are prone to maintenance issues. But- it's a model, so pick the style that floats your boat!
  5. Is there any hobby related trade shows this month? I think there used to be. Is it still revelant? I would always look forward to new kit intros
  6. Good choice, tho not often thought of as a muscle car
  7. I agree... there must be a market for these. I bought the following at the Southwest Challenge way back in 1992! Notice the vendor didn't put any info on the card...
  8. Not big enough. Way nasty! Rocks!
  9. Well, yeah. You can fit a hibachi and all kind of eats on those rear wings.
  10. What else should we expect from an industry so "lawyered up" that they have the time to go after model car makers? They have even go after aftermarket vendors. As a result, countless kits now have generic, no-name tires. Idle lawyers "protecting" corporate brands? They couldn't recognize free advertizing if it was gift wrapped for them.
  11. Works great! I used a CoffeeMate bottle... Cut out the shape of the window... Some polishing compound really helps.
  12. How can that be topped? Not sure it can!
  13. My favorite Muscle Car; the one that drilled its way into my memory bank way back then... has to be my bro-in-law's '70 Challenger T/A. He was dating my sister, and they took me, and his little bro (who was my age) in his T/A to the drive-in to see "Vanishing Point". What a kool movie! What a kool ride home after the movie! I did up this Revell metal body kit of the VP car, using the mill from the '71 Charger. Probably not exact, but nice enough for my shelf. Of course, finding some bumper guards and a rear-view would help.
  14. Lots of neat stuff there, Skip. Thanks.
  15. Wow! That is so cool! Very clean, very smooth. Well worth the fight.
  16. REAL NICE!
  17. Absolutely. The builder is trying to have it both ways... beautiful woodwork, lousy metalwork. It makes no sense. What is their point? Rat, for the sake of crude? Oh, I say "rat" only because I cannot think of a better term... but that is no "rat", even if I ignore the woodwork.
  18. I knew this guy who brought the same model ‘Country Time’ Pontiac Nascar to the same contest for five years in a row. He built it as a wreck; body damage, etc. It was OK, but it was never going to be magazine feature material. Year after year, he never placed in the top 3 in category. After about the fifth year, he finally won! We joked that they just wanted him to be done with it already. So, he got his trophy, and in spite of us notifying him of future contest schedules, he never went back. We think he just gave up building.
  19. What a winter! Like all the other neighbors, we cleaned the snow off the roof yesterday. We have only had to do that once before. I snowblowed a path through 2 feet of snow in the back yard to do the roof. Roofs are caving in all over the place here in NH, even more so in Mass.
  20. Since Chris Moore doesn't post here (afaik), I got to show this Jeep gasser "Goin' Postal" that he built from a resin body: Sorry about the poor Q pics.
  21. Long ago, I used Krylon without problems; as far as volume of paint out of the can is concerned. Reaction to plastic is a whole different story, however. A few years ago, something changed afaik. I think they started using a different spray nozzle. Thus the “fire hose†reference. I have tried to use their Hunter Green, I cannot even get the first coat to cover without runs. The volume of paint out of the can is too great. Maybe it’s just me? If I ever use Krylon again, it will need to be decanted into an airbrush.
  22. Donald, maybe it's not you. This is what spraying Krylon looks like:
  23. Nice! That color is stunning... what is it?
  24. And then there are the people who don't bother with adding metal over the wood...
