Craig... I am 100% certain that your daughter WILL spot that in her room! That Fluorescent paint will likely dry with a flat finish. The one model I painted with Fluorescent paint, I added decals b4 spraying the clear. BIG mistake! The decals will 'silver' on the surface. So please clear the Fluorescent paint before you add any decals! Good luck with that build! Be sure to wear shades when you handle it!
  2. Speaking of Michaels, why do they stock this... ...but not this? Because it's the Hawaiian that I want! Oh well, maybe at the NNL East.
  3. Several years back, one of the magazines had a feature on different kit engines, recommending which kit had the best example of each popular engine. Would anyone happen to know which magazine, and which issue? Thanks.
  4. That is a fine tuitorial! As for me, it looks time-consuming, but "do-able". I wasn't a lowrider fan, but I do have a profound respect for their style of paint design. I want to try one now.
  5. Amazing job on the Corvette. Would love some detail on how to do the headlight buckets... that is why I never built the Greenwood car.
  6. Possible graphic for eyeballs? ***Sheez. I just realized that will work... for the passenger side door! Any ideas for the drivers side?
  7. Terry, This is going to look great! Now you need to find a source for the correct Mooneyes graphics. Unlike Chips model, they need a white background. Perhaps finding the logo in black, print on white decal film? I have 2 diff Moon logos, both have the word "MOON" through the eyes (in one word through both eyes). You can never have too many reference pics!
  8. I am really enjoying this build! The rad roof rake, the fatties out back, and a Cad up front all make for a wicked ride!
  9. THIS JUST IN: TOMY Co to resell recently acquired toymaker RC2 to Anheuser Busch. NOW this thread makes sense.
  10. Link for story below. Hat tip to Dave Van for posting this on another board. http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9LSOLB80.htm
  11. Nice looking kit; modern frame & running gear. Downside is some parts have vague locators.
  12. I bet that is diff from the last few Mustangs you built! Really nice GT, Jeff!
  13. Boy, that is sweet!
  14. Anyone got a cigarette? Woooohhh.
  15. If not already available, can Rob's suggestion be pinned @ the top?
  16. I am also concerned. I suspect that Gregg is fine, flying above the islands in the Golden Bell Press corporate helicopter!
  17. Actually, if you think of all the recently tooled kit inaccuracies (debated in other parts of this forum) that would make this kit ahead of its time!
  18. Japan. The predicted tsunami in Hawaii was relatively minor from what I understand. Parts of Japan has been decimated.
  19. The video on the cable news is shocking. I saw a large truck on a road get swallowed up and pushed along in a giant debris wave.
  20. Me as a 50 ft. giant Secret Service agent... ...and with my best bud:
  21. Nice work! I am building something similar, and I know how difficult it is to get everything positioned to line up.
  22. I don't think so. Not pre-assembled, or in plastic.
  23. Try different grits of sandpaper. A fine grit for the base of the mat, a coarser grit cut slightly smaller for the "carpet" layered on top. Maybe use plug wire for a edge. Spray to color, and give it a shot of clear dullcoat. Just a thought.
