  1. Hey, looks real fine! Just a good choice of color.
  2. Ever wondered how to decipher those class designations with all the letters at Bonneville? Here's our guide on what all that alphabet soup means and it is pretty interesting. http://bangshift.com/general-news/event-coverage/land-speed-races/bonneville-speed-week-2014-alphabet-soup-class-designation-letters-mean-anyway/
  3. Willys NAS Gas
  4. It just looks right. Good job!
  5. And that... explains the concept of marketing!
  6. Wow! Nice! I noticed the black wash on the chrome reverse... really makes them "pop"!
  7. Stunning!
  8. When I look at the new Cherokee, I think it looks like a design study for a new Grand Cherokee. As in "Same old vehicle with new nose and tail" Essentially, a GC with a rounded front and squinty headlights. What is the big difference between the two besides appearance? I'm just trying to figure out what justifies building the Cherokee, when they already have the GC. At least on the previous generation Cherokee, I knew the front end had the solid axle. Ditto on the new one?
  9. Would anyone care to speculate what (if anything) the next version of this tooling will be?
  10. Wait! Are you saying it doesn't have military grade axles and a six speed transfer case, an eight cylinder diesel, a choice of manual, auto, or cvt for a transmission? And not only should it be perfect for the wife to take to the mall with the kiddies, but it should do so with at least six+ feet of ground clearance, while sporting monster truck tires. AND... get exceptional gas mileage! It doesn't? Pffft! Boy, has Jeep lost it's way! I mean, we knew it was a dud before seeing the pic!
  11. It's a 1983 Idontknow. That was easy!
  12. I think TĂșlio understands the spirit of this little game we play. And I say "Well played, sir!" If it was easy, where would the challenge be? But... please do throw us a bone every now and then! So us Derps can guess correctly
  13. The Aurora/Revell Ford GT also has some issues. The side window openings do not go up high enough into the roof, and slope down as they flow to the back. The pic shows it after opening it up. New side windows were cut from a plastic bottle. Also has alignment issues between the front and rear body shells. I added a strip of plastic to the rear of the cab, then had to cut and realign parts of the rear shell.
  14. Great stuff at the link for Larry Watson's 'bird, plus The Mexican Blackbird, and more: http://customrodder.forumactif.org/t1120-ford-thunderbird-1958-1960-custom-mild-custom
  15. VERY well done, sir!
  16. Nick! That is a great combo!
  17. I have a couple of questions about building the Hudson Coupe: 1. I am concerned about test fitting the rear windows. I have read that they are a snug fit. Will I be able to pop it back out if I test fit? 2. On those windows, there is a tab with a hole on the side windows. I cut the pegs off the headliner. Should I cut off the clear tabs, flush with the windows? Thank you in advance!
  18. Really like your Belvedere! I thought I was looking at b&w photos!
  19. Rich, how did you tint the windows? Did you airbrush them? Looks so fine!
  20. WAY nice job on that, Rich!
  21. Nice build, Jim! You've been on a building tear lately!
  22. First, I wasn't sure if this is the right place to post this... apologies if not correct. Please feel free to move. From Facebook: Moebius Models New York Toy Fair starts Sunday. Not setting up, as I feel the floor setup is very lazy and not conducive to displaying to your customer base. I refuse to do shows anymore that I don't get any advantage of. It's great that some companies have been doing these shows forever, but to be penalized for being a newer company because you're too lazy to rearrange the floor plan from year to year is just that, lazy. I won't send a huge check so the management can place me where they feel it's best. If I'm paying, I want to know I'm comfortable with where I'm at. So no Moebius booth. But we'll have a Galactica, Batman, and the Robot in the Merit International booth. I know this doesn't do many of you any good as the show is closed to the public, but February will probably see no new announcements any more as Toy Fair has outgrown its usefulness for many of us.
  23. Man, that looks so fine, Steve!
