The '49 would be the next logical extension for the Hudson Moebius line. And I hope they do. The question is, how much steam does the whole "Hudson" thing have left?

There really is something about that Tesla. I can spot them coming up the street, blocks away. Must be something to do with that funky headlight signature. And Tom, you are a fortunate man to experience them.

Trumpeter. The "Palmer Kits" of todays kit manufacturers. And when a Tucker kit finally comes along, (and it will) I hope it's offered by designers, engineers, tool makers, and artisans that can and will produce a knockout. Again, MOEBIUS! I'm looking at you!!!

Tucker kit? YES!!! OK, first, I’m certain there are other Tucker threads on here somewhere if you want to play archeologist, go for it. There is a thread on Hudsons, and it was sidetracking to Tuckers, so I thought I would start a new line. So a lot of us (ahem… a LOT of us) would very much like a kit of the Tucker. It has been requested ever since I took my second lap around the hobby block back in the late eighties. But it’s not going to happen. And if you understand the biz, you know why. Versions. They need to market several versions to make the tooling profitable. Yet the Tucker was a short lived car, with a production run of 50 units, and no real race heritage. What to do? Well, there are different versions: First, and obvious, is the original production Tuckers. Second, the New ’48 by Rob Ida with a twin turbo’d Cadillac Northstar. Third, the pre production “Tin Goose”. Fourth, a TUCKER 48 pulling the Gyronaut X1 Fifth, the one of none Tucker Convertible, built from leftover factory parts. Remember in the Hudson thread where Harry pointed out all of the kits like the Batmobile, Ala Kart, etc. that have no alternate versions? They sold. And I believe the Tucker could be marketed in more than one configuration. Hello? Moebius? I’m looking at you!

What's left for the Hudson saga? No four door yet. Or early model. Perhaps a '49 4-door?

I ended up mixing the Flat Base to their Clear at a 1 part flat to 5 parts clear. Seems to work fine. Thank you all for helping.

Does anyone have experience using Tamiya X-21 Clear Flat Base? I want to brush a dullcoat to some small chrome parts. I seem to recall it looks like a chalky mess if used straight out of the jar.

I noticed on the original issue '53, that every mounting hole throughout the kit was too snug. I chipped the finish while opening up a hole. Next one, I am doing that before paint. Question is, are the later issue kits any better fitting?

I would like to try it before dissing it. I would use a putty like masking medium. If I mask a bit more than I want, the headlight trim could always be done with BMF. Otherwise, just putty mask, and shoot it with black, then Alclad.

What's the '53 Corvette tie-in with The Stig? Is there a figure of Stig with the kit?
