  1. Maybe the next owner will think of that. Seems like the proverbial ReMax sign never goes away at their offices.
  2. Thread originated in '08. Sorry if I already contributed, I really don't know. But this is one of my fav...
  3. That... is just right. Love the stance.
  4. I avoid enamels for washes, as it is petroleum based. When you wipe it off the high points, you risk removing the chrome plate.
  5. Try going here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/tag/jairus-watson/ Send him a Q, or even try his Facebook page.
  6. Indeed it does! Thank you!
  7. How about later issues of the '53 Hornet? The stock cars? The convertible?
  8. I'm finishing up the first issue of the '53 Hornet. Moebius didn't include a decal for the rear trunk's "TWIN H POWER" emblem. Do any of the newer Hudson issues have it? Thanks in advance.
  9. I have a small emblem I made, that needs to go on the car body. I was thinking of using clear paint. I don't currently have any bottled clear enamel, but I do have clear Tamiya in a bottle. Will that work?
  10. Acid core solder. I found out the hard way never to use it again.
  11. If you feel it will become an issue someday....I'd attach the wheels with a drop of epoxy that will weld the entire assembly into one unit. I don't see it as an issue....but I ain't built a production kit yet. There is a reason for the rear axle molded as a unit......someday we'll know I am sure..... Thanks! Which is exactly what I would do, regardless. It's not a toy (to me), don't need to roll.
  12. BEST '60 'mino I've seen!
  13. Like. I see how you accented the lugs with a dark wash. Good detailing.
  14. Wheel and tires give this the look it needs. Just right.
  15. Definitely worth watching.
  16. My Fotki 1:1 LINCOLN album link for inspiration. Most of it in order by title: http://public.fotki.com/JCole/11_fomoco/11_lincoln__mercury/page5.html
  17. I did an early test shot for this kit. Early, as in "stone age". Slush cast, probably by Sam Miller, iirc.
  18. Keep at it! They are beautiful cars!
  19. Guess I am a tad bit late to the party on this one, but I got to tell you... that is one fine looking Merc Woody. Or Mercoody, if you want. Either way, fine job, sir!
  20. Never cared for the little runt. Now as I look at it, I think I would just lop the roof off all together. Maybe go with a roll bar or roll cage instead, along with bigger tires.
  21. Yes. I think that judging by the age set of modelers on this web site, there are a lot of people who will remember that show. I think, based by the average age set of attendants at any model show, contest, or club meeting, there are a lot of people who will remember that show. Marketing matters.
