  1. I would be proud to have that on my shelf!
  2. Tombraider Jeep, back... this time in plastic! Sweet! How about a Laura Croft figure?!
  3. I remember seeing that photo, and after searching for two days, I found it!
  4. Actually, I am amazed that anyone expected more. This isn't the first "New wheels in an old kit" stunt that we have seen. Right or wrong, that is what they do. I expect more of the same. And the artwork does imply more alterations than provided in the box. This is the kind of stuff that AMT used to do (Donk wheels on a '32 Ford?).
  5. Got the Ford Phantom Van yesterday for 30% off. Now I need to plan to lengthen the body using the Juke Box Van to replicate my old van...
  6. That really does look good! When I opened this thread, I didn't see the side of the cement block it rests on, and I was trying to wonder if it was a pic of a 1:1 truck!
  7. Not sure if everyone is aware, by Norm is having health issues. I found this on the HAMB: "Hello, this is Norm's niece, Mary, logging on to post an update on my Uncle Norm. He had me set this up and I've been able to read posts to him but not reply. So, hope this works. He's been living with us since his hospital stay in St. Louis last May. As of Thursday, Sept 13, he is in the hospital from major complications involving his feeding tube and he got a bad infection from something going wrong with the placement of the tube. So he is getting the care he needs to pull through it. Will keep you posted on how he is doing. Also, with his consent, we set up a Facebook page for him so people could keep in touch, post photos and comments. Look for Norm Grabowski. We read them to him and he will reply by us keying it in. He is not technology friendly, LOL He does enjoy hearing from everyone and really misses talking, but especially misses eating. Thank you for your support...." http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=705456&page=6
  8. Hey Doc, that has to be one of your most outstanding -shiny- paintjobs ever! That is a whole diff category than your rust, tho. You master the rust, too!
  9. I saw an S2000 in the image. But with so many cars in the world, every year, every decade, there is bound to be comparisons. I like the design, but it's no standout either.
  10. Some of the Hallmark stuff is gone by Thanksgiving. That's why I was in there, because I buy my wife an Oz ornament each Christmas. Last year, they were sold out by November. So if this is something you may want for your Ecto-1 kit, don't put it off. Hallmark ornaments are popular. The Hallmark Harleys always go quick too.
  11. Saw this in a Hallmark holiday ornament store display. Great backdrop item for that Ghostbusters Caddy.
  12. Jeez, Crank, you freaked me out with that thread title! It sounds like Bill Hines passed on! Glad to hear he is alive and well!
  13. The REAL truck! One of the coolest trucks ever!
  14. Hollywood is really running low on any original thoughts... or plots.

Wow! I'm thinking possible "Best Paint" award at a model contest! The orange on the T-Bird, light reflection perhaps? Reflection on chrome.
  16. My first car, a '63 Nova
  17. I'll guess model.
  18. Nice! Dirty, but nice!
  19. Money is no object for the buyer... they won't care if it's never driven.
  20. What a great look! Those wheels stand out on a white car!
  21. That is real sharp!
  22. If you look at the body from the side, you should notice it is "arched", inc the side trim. I sanded off the trim, cut the body into 3 sections, and put it back together straight (see link for more pics: http://public.fotki....del_cars/mopar/) That... is about as far as I ever got. Not exactly "Under glass" either.
  23. I believe both Testors and Tamiya also sell window tint sprays. I had bad results with the one I tried. The idea with the tinted plastic sheet is you don’t tint your windows, you replace them. Use the original as a pattern. No spray, no dust. If Dahm’s Window Tint is still available, try it. This is an R/C product, very strong tint. Very strong adhesive too! Apply to the outside of your window. Down side is, not good for compound curves (for instance, a slight domed window)
