  1. So, is there racing.... between all these commercials? Had to share the TV, never did see the Deltawing run. Like a lot of radical new ideas, it (apparently) still needs sorting out. Read an update somewhere that a driver involved in an incident has a broken back. Hope he heals. Apparently, lots of on-track incidents? I have seen a few Ferrari in the sand traps. Lots of catagories this year. How many? And... hybrids? I suppose, if you think of LeMans as a giant test run for engineering.
  2. I use a wire coat hanger. It is shown upside down. The tip of the hook is cut off, and spread to form two legs, a vise grip works as the third leg, and a pendulum for swinging the body around to paint all sides. The body is held on with 1" wide tape.
  3. Good deal, George! Be sure to have a sharp #11 blade. I will often have one blade for trimming from the sheet, and another for trimming the foil once on the car. Some people don't even put the blade in a handle, just hold it between the thumb and index finger. Use just enough pressure to make it stay put, then after it's all trimmed, go back and burnish it down. A little bit of luck, skill, and practice will be your friend!
  4. Just turned on TV to SPEED, race is on. I was under the impression that the new deltawing would be on the track. Is it?
  5. That is sooo sharp!
  6. I was bored one day, so I borrowed the "no avatar" image, and had some fun with it in my PrintMaster program. Just a mash up of various images from Google. Plus it expresses my desire to not take life too seriously. EDIT: Scratch that! Changed it again! Now it's GW rockin' the Challenger! I bet he would have approved.
  7. ...or too lazy to post an avatar. :P
  8. Nope! Actually, his business manager sent him to the factory in China, where they chained his ankle to the tampo printing machine. For a few months. So in a way, yeah, it's just like he signed it!
  9. Like asking.... Clothing. What purpose does it serve? Don't know.... but I'm real glad most people have it!
  10. What purpose does an avatar serve? That's like asking what purpose does our name serve! It helps ID you, for us. It is in addition to your name; not 100% neccessary, just helpful.
  11. All it really needs is a mast and a sail!
  12. Someone needs to start a separate web page on this. It's both sad, and legendary.

  14. Finding out what it is, is one thing. Finding out the year, well, that is something else all together!
  15. What is your eBay strategy? Avoid it!
  16. What Danno said. Perhaps time to print on the cover "THIS MONTH, 2012"
  17. This is the kind of creativity that makes scoping out this place all worthwhile! Sooo many styling +'s in the Monkee goat!
  18. I think that's similar to how I want to build mine. Thanks for the inspiration!
  19. Sounds as though you are judging more "Body color vs. chrome" rather than "silver paint vs. BMF"? Body colored trim is still popular, although I think it really took off during the 90's. Like Harry said, that is your call. As for silver vs. chrome foil, I feel the the former looks toy like, the latter looks like an adult model build... if done well.
